I'm sure the people who made this programme had great fun doing so with an unnecessary trip to the desert, special effects, over dramatic music and camera angles. The actual stuff about the universe could have been condensed into 5 to 10 minutes. Every point is laboured ad nauseam to allow space for things like a bloke driving his car through the desert or a woman walking through the desert wearing a red leather jacket. I couldn't watch the whole thing so you might say it's not a fair review, but I don't think I would have lived to write a review if I'd done that. If you want to see an example of what I think is good then look up David Butler's How far away is it series on Youtube. He's also done a series called How small is it which leaves Horizon's How small is the universe (although better than How big is the universe) standing.
