It is ok not to be ok?
doulagar-srikanth19 December 2022
Well written and executed! The movie reflects our current approach towards relationships and human behaviour when it comes communicating and confronting our partners and how we are ok to not being ok!

What we wanna achieve vs. What drives us.. vs. Where we hearding to.. Our priorities...etc.. Love and respect seems to be insignificant when it comes to practicality.. But the movie showcases what we face in our morden societies.

In the world of simplification.. 'click of button" we still are complex human being with simple feelings..but our egos do clash!

Must watch'... Maybe more than once....

Goosebumps!

Loved it. Showing vulnerability is one of our key strength and its well showcased here. A very good performance by the lead actor and her experiences. Many self reflecting moments in there and the movie is a must watch!

We all go through the same things in different ways but such movie subjects makes it a universal understanding of our emotional capabilities and endurance. Love the cinematic look of the film as well and the direction did so justice to make the plot believable, almost brings a feeling of belongingness to the theme. I felt heard, visible and understood with Kriti's character and its a part of all of us.

12 mins well spent. Highly recommend!

Loved how the message has been delivered in just 12mins. Dialogues have the depth and meaning and actors have done a great job. I loved the dialogues about attachment is left not love and need to go through this and trust the process. It depicts the characters very well. The black and white adds to the story in a subtle way. Kudos to the producer and directors and the whole team for putting together a great storyline that takes the audience through a series of emotions in such a short space of time. I would love to see more from this team. It is not often that I have seen short films that are so gripping! A treat to watch.

A path less Taken

Interesting movie on subject of mental health, something we rarely discuss, we should welcome more of such movies which actually connect us to people around us in every day life.

We all suffered during pandemic, seen our loved one taken away, dance of death, suffering around us, even if we survived the pandemic but it broke us from inside, this is something i could relate myself and see this movie is about some one who is near and dear to us and suffered, we were locked inside away from people we love, our families. The disconnect it caused, the entire experience is evoking the emotions and taking the journey together.

Recommend watching.

Touchy, sensitive, Surreal

Rest of the night hit a cord with me. Personally, it brought back emotions I felt at a similar situation during pandemic years. I never got the closure until I looked at closure through a different lens. Through my own healing lens. It's only then I realized Mental health is crucial and must be addressed.

The movie addresses all that and more in an emotional yet sensitive way. The actors - Kirti and Vishwas emote so well and are in great form. Direction and Cinematography is excellent adding layer of feeling to the message. I only wish this was longer, coz the lead character is so deeply layered, you want to know more!

Highly recommend.

Absolutely Delightful Film!

This short film is delightful from start to finish! Rest of the Night's storyline is a must watch for the ages, whether you are in a connection or not. A raw depiction of relationships of the times.

This is a fantastic project completed by the production team and full cast. My recommendation is that if you have no watched this film, please go ahead and add it to your list for 2023! We need more progressive and we'll-crafted narration and content like this being reflected on the film screen.

Looking forward to watching further film projects from this very talented and well written production team.

INSOMNIA AND US.

It's a beautiful piece of art. Totally relatable. Kirti Kulhari is brillient performer off our times. Great writing and direction by Prayrit Seth.

Vishwas Kini is so good in his part. Prashant Dandekar does his job so well... and Prayrit's decision to keep the film in black and white has lot to say about his way of story telling.

Waiting for many of Prayrit's stories to see and follow his craft.. he is someone who silently working on these gems and making his work speak for himself.

The Location looks so good, takes characters to another level of emptiness.

Great Job guys, looking forward to witness more of your work.

Totally relatable.. a subject which all of us go through either in friendships or a relationship.

Closure is something we all run after without understanding the suffering we go through to achieve it ; is it really worth it in the end!! It refers to having a sense of understanding, peace, and accepted finality of the relationship whether it's ended because of loss, rejection, or growing apart.

"Closure looks different for everyone, but at its core it's a sense of completion and release from the entanglement of the relationship,"

The lead actors portrayed the emotions so well justifying the writers aim to deliver the message to the viewers.

Brilliant writing & direction by prayrit, keep getting us more.

Overall gave me goosebumps in true sense.

Absolutely amazing movie. Kirti has portrayed her character so beautifully. This movie actually teaches us that it is so important to take good care of our mental health. Especially during the pandemic many people had this issue . Totally relatable. Just loved this movie . It also gives a very good message that if you are feeling uncomfortable in a relationship just move on . Do not brood over the past . Take help if needed. Really a very touching movie . I just loved it . Lockdown has actually changed the lives of many . Definitely worth watching . Short movie with a lot of debth in it . Brilliant one !

Very Nice!

Rest of the night was brilliantly acted and shot. More importantly it was a very beautiful handling of a very sensitive topic which Im sure a lot of people around the world can relate to because it is such a universal theme. The location just highlights the loneliness felt by the lead character and the black and white visuals are an added plus. I liked the understated and minimal background score.

It is refreshing to see this level talent and quality content being made away from the mainstream. I Hope we get to see many more of these stories

many congratulations to the producers and to the whole team involved!

Brilliant !!

What a beautiful movie!!! The movie shows the need to take care one's mental health and how its important to express one's emotions. Kirti is amazing in portraying such a complex character of a woman stuck at home during the pandemic and brings out the whole emotional turmoil. Many of us want that closure and are unable to move on in relationships which gives us so much, but they take out too. The movie shows us just that so beautifully. I think many of us have gone through the phase of lockdown in similar way as her character. This character and the movie are totally relatable and touched my heart. Worth watching!!!
