The third week of the Television Critics Assn. press tour continued Tuesday with presentations from Discovery, Inc. that featured talent across Hgtv, Animal Planet, Travel Channel, Food Network and Discovery Channel, while Acorn TV and Starz also brought some new spring series, including the former’s “Manhunt” and “Queens of Mystery” and the latter’s “Now Apocalypse,” “The Rook,” “The Spanish Princess” and the second seasons of “Vida” and “American Gods.”

Travel Channel is reviving “America Unearthed,” which originally aired on A+E’s H2 channel. Geologist Scott Wolter will return as host.
America is a burial ground for secrets of our past. Artifacts and strange finds offer opportunities to discover a history of our country that we don’t know, per Travel. Wolter believes that some of the history we’ve been taught is wrong and he is on a mission to prove it. Now, Travel Channel is breathing new life into “America Unearthed,” updating the format for its new network home and allowing Wolter to continue his quest to establish what really happened and set the historical record straight.
