Sex & Nudity
-
- In battle, Bayonetta wears a tight costume made up of her hair magically attached to herself, where she is completely naked underneath.
- When Bayonetta goes into a Climax finale attack, she summons a demon with her magical hair outfit, most of which spins off her nude body and shows a lot of skin underneath. Nothing is shown as some of the spinning hair acts as a sort of censor, but much is heavily implied.
- Bayonetta is very much an exhibitionist, showing a sort of playful sexual excitement in battle by way of body movements and attacks with specific weapons. This is all done in a light-hearted, non-serious manner
- Bayonetta's ultimate final attack is called an "Umbran Climax"; "climax" is a word also used in place of "orgasm" (a not so subtle usage.)
Violence & Gore
-
- Bayonetta uses fists, feet, stiletto pistols and various other weapons to fight her enemies.
- Enemies burst into a morass of gore and body parts upon being killed. Some bosses end up completely dismembered and torn apart.
- Bayonetta's "Umbran Climax" involves summoning a demon which proceeds to inflict fast, devastating blows to a defeated boss; these attacks become increasingly brutal via a QTE on the player's part until the boss is completely obliterated.
- Bayonetta can perform a "torture attack" on an enemy to finish it off; these are far more brutal attacks that inflict greater damage and end in a messy, bloody death.
- Much like other PlatinumGames titles, the violence and action is incredibly over-the-top and stylish.
Profanity
-
- Cursing is heard (Enzo, in particular, has a foul mouth), though infrequently; "shit" and "fuck" being the worst offenders.
Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking
-
- Rodin is seen smoking a cigar many times.
Frightening & Intense Scenes
-
- Despite some of the darker themes it contains (black magic, witch hunts, demonic entities and dark forces), the game has a light-hearted and fun tone to it
Spoilers
Sex & Nudity
