Howard's mom

Warning: Spoilers
I think that in this episode Howard's mom does her first appearance. It's very brief but sure is epic just how I imagined.

The Man Who'll Never Return

Leonard finally has the last straw and moves in with Penny, much to her dismay. Since the apartment is available, Amy decides to move in with Sheldon, much to his dismay. The conflict is pretty funny. Wolowitz ask Raj to check on his mother but once there she hold him captive. Quite a bit of conflict. I really enjoyed Sheldon's continuing to insult Leonard and ruin almost anything important to him.

The Spoiler Alert Segmentation

I much prefer episodes of this show like this.

Just a simple plot with the characters driving each other bananas. I'm not sure it works when they try to go too far beyond that.

Anything that keeps the focus on Sheldon/Penny and Leonard in general I prefer, though the character of Amy has slotted in well.

The main storyline here is a great deal of fun, and plays out nicely like farce in theatre.

The B plot involving Howard/Raj and Bernadette (groan) doesn't work so well, and feels a bit too silly for its own good.

Overall, 'The Big Bang Theory' remains a hit and miss show for me, but this was one of the better outings.

"The Spoiler Alert Segmentation" was another hilarious ep of "The Big Bang Theory"
tavm7 February 2013
After Sheldon reveals an important plot point in a Harry Potter book Leonard was reading, Leonard has had enough and wants to move out. He decides to move to Penny's who is not thrilled though does her best to hide it. Sheldon seems fine without his former roommate...until Amy suggests herself as his new one. Meanwhile, Howard goes to Las Vegas with Bernadette so Raj has to stay with Howard's mom whose affair with the dentist is now over. Uh oh...This was another hilarious ep of "The Big Bang Theory" that I was bowled over for. I mean, seeing Penny and Amy's reactions to the new possible living arrangements was just sublime! And so was Sheldon's way of groveling! Oh, and how about Raj's reactions to the way Howard's mother treats him! I think I've said enough so on that note, I highly recommend "The Spoiler Alert Segmentation" ep of "The Big Bang Theory".

Warning: Spoilers
Leonard is starting to read the Harry Potter series and once again Sheldon being himself spoils the novel. Leonard gets annoyed at Sheldon finally coming to the conclusion he must move out of the apartment. Howard is going to Veagas with Bernadette and some friends wanting Raj to visit with his mother. Leonard tells Penny of moving in and she seems shocked by it, she has nothing to say and he is moving in. Raj eats with Howard's mom and when she starts to cry he decides to stay with her. Sheldon gets rid of all Leonard's things and he is looking for a new roommate, this person turns out to be Amy and just like Penny Sheldon has nothing to say trying to beg Leonard to come back. Howard's mom alone is keeping Raj in her house and he cannot escape. Penny and Sheldon try to tell their partners the truth because they do not want the others to move in. Sheldon is the first to tell blaming Penny for him not living with Amy. Amy goes over to Penny's and the truth comes out about everyone moving with the two guys being blamed for everything. Raj try's to escape once again but Howard's mom grabs him inside the house. Between this episode and last week's the show seems to moving to a place where all the characters are growing up which I think is a good thing.

EPISODE GRADE: B (MVP: Jim Parsons)

Excellent episode of an excellent series!

Warning: Spoilers
I chose to binge The Big Bang Theory during the pandemic, knowing only that it was very popular (I've really not kept up with popular culture so I've been bingeing other popular series that came after I really gave up on television, other then The West Wing, in the 21st century). The situation generating much of the comedy -- two socially inept physicists trying to cope with the people around them -- accounts for some, but not all, of the comedy in this show. I think it was on for twelve years (!) because it addresses situations that occur in all walks of life. This episode is a good example, of the dilemmas faced by couple when one person is ready to move in and the other is not, and so on. That doesn't depend on being physicists. This is the first time I've paid this much attention to a show where the characters (and actors) are all younger than I am. I admire the craft of the crew and the cast.
