That nobody else has written a review, so let me be the first to say that this particular episode brought a tear to my eye. I used to love watching Sooty back in the 80s and now my own children love watching it too. So to see Matthew Corbett appear out of nowhere was a wonderful surprise and really did take me down memory lane.

Thank you for everything you did Matthew!

The Return of Mathew

I was beyond excited when this was announced back in 2011. A little bit disappointed by the runtime, but the show itself more than makes up for it.

This was obviously one of the most anticipated episodes of the show, if not on television.

For those who don't know, Mathew Corbett was a legend alongside Sooty. Presenting the original show and it's spinoff Sooty and Co for over 20 years. So having him return for a guest spot was like having Christopher Reeve appear in a Marvel Film!

And he doesn't disappoint and neither does the episode. To quote Mathew himself:

"If dad could see the fuss being made of Sooty today, he'd be tickled pink!
