Can't seem to end a story line
shuny15 February 2023
Warning: Spoilers
The Rookie keeps dredging up old stories, it is like water torture; drip, drip, drip. Elijah keeps returning. When we think we are done with his disgusting character, he crawls out of the woodwork. When it finally looked like we wouldn't have to see him again, their ridiculous plan fell apart at the end because of a fluke. His lawyer, who has the character of Rosalind, another too frequently seen nemesis from the past, keeps showing up. I was hoping Elijah would get to put us out of her misery with a shot in the head. But, no. Unfortunately, Elijah was there at the end setting up some more air time.

The mood of the show was kept lighter by John's visit to his dead mother's home where people keep coming by looking for their stuff. We knew she was a con artist but she was a lot more skilled than even John thought. They need to kill off Elijah, his lawyer, and slimy Wesley too, and come up with some new stories. Aron needs more air time.

Great episode but...
1544C16 February 2023
Although this is a great episode, as usual, for The Rookie it hurts that so many episodes are linked strictly to the rookie feds like this one as to binge a show or to catch up. You're having to constantly figure out what to watch when and in what order which can get confusing and turn people away. Right now the rookie still has strong ratings, but the rookie feds is lacking on most accounts which makes me scared for the rookie. If Feds ratings, don't come up for the show continues to go down. I feel like it is a sinking ship that could drag the rookies ratings down which nobody wants to lose that show.

Oh... please do some research on your PA towns...
jmdanley15 February 2023
Sorry, but my inner Pittsburgher got riled near the end of this episode... a large portion of it is set in Nolan's hometown, the borough of Foxburg, which is in Clarion County, just north of Pittsburgh. PITTSBURGH. Home of the Pirates? Remember them? NO person in Western PA roots for the Phillies (if they don't want to be shunned). Why would anyone from Western PA dive the six hours to Philly (which I also love, I may add) to watch a game there? Instead of Mike Schmidt, the writers could have written Willie Stargell. Oh, I am wounded to the heart...

Apart from that major insul---um---glitch, this was one of the best episodes this season. Bringing in members of "The Rookie: Feds" was a great way to handle the situation to "kill two birds with one stone" regarding some major baddies of this series. I look forward to seeing how this story line eventually concludes.

The added comic relief of seeing (the very tall) Nathan Fillion getting out of a Smart Car is, on its own, worth watching this episode.

Convenient again
manesh3217 February 2023
Warning: Spoilers
As usual Elijah is smarter than everyone. As usual convenient things happen that leads to him getting away. It's starting to get old now. I love when the focus is on the cops and the story telling there. I really hope they wrap up this Elijah story line as I'm so over his character not because he is bad but because things just fall into his lap. This episode and how it broke down should lead to a bazillion suits against the police and feds for all the illegal stuff they did. All that manpower and for no reason whatsoever he walks away. Convenient writing drives me nuts. I hope they don't become that type of show.

Not a terrible episode could be better though

Warning: Spoilers
Just when things are starting to pick up they end up back to square one with Elijah Stone investigation . Seriously the the entire operation got blown up by a empty beer bottle . I seriously hate Wesley's ex Monica was hoping this storyline would be over soon. It feels like they dragging things out with this story arc . Also why were the feds in this episode they appear out of nowhere without much explanation. When did lapd start a task force with them to take down Elijah . They need to stop crossing over with Rookie feds a lot of fans hate that show. It makes you feel like you have to watch feds to keep up with the show . I have noticed since the since the Rosalind storyline finished they have sidelined Nolan and he hasn't been involved much with the main storylines this season . Nolan is the main character they should give a more storylines . Please end the Elijah storyline soon its getting a bit annoying to watch .

You know that thing where you toggle your flat hand?
VetteRanger15 February 2023
It was sad and shocking to see an "In Memory" at the end for Annie Wersching, who died from cancer on January 29, 2023. She was an absolutely gorgeous woman and mother of three. Rest in peace, Annie.

So, back to "You know that thing where you toggle your flat hand?" That's the way I felt about this show. Parts of it were very entertaining, but parts of it were ridiculous. Comme ci, comme ça.

Should we start with an police entrapment where some of the cops are pretty much in view, weapons and all, right out on the sidewalk?

How about a militia attack on a house owned by a woman known to have recently died?

Or trying to set two drug cartels against each other with a plan to stop them before a war breaks out.

These things are over the top dumb, yet we like the cast and there were some amusing moments.

The show is getting confusing.
pauli_gomez5 March 2023
Nolan and his girlfriend have to deal with the aftermath of Nolan's mother death. I think that was fun. The rest of the story was about setting a trap for Elijah. I was not impressed with that storyline.

But I wanted to comment an aspect of the show that it is becoming annoying. The show already had a large cast but now there is the recurrence of a lot of other people, and that makes things very complicated. On one hand, they have FBI agents, for the Rookie spin-off, who appeared randomly in some episodes, like this one. And on the other hand, now we have the team of Metro, where Tim is working. It is too many people and as we do not care for the new characters it just add noise to the show.

Carlos as a cop? Nope.
Racingphan216 February 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Carlos on Ozark was one of the greatest all time villains ever. So seeing the same actor as an FBI agent is totally unbelievable. This is one of the most convoluted and hard to follow story arcs in the history of television. Drop it now and focus on local policing.

Meanwhile watching John and his insanely hot girlfriend dig into his mother's house and belongings was a fun storyline.

I will say that Nathan Fillion looks very tired and bored, much like the last two seasons of Castle.

I still have a hundred characters to go to meet the IMDB minimum, so let's talk about the UFOs that Joe keeps sh...
