Love Fraser!
MaryMacBVI5 March 2023
I think Fraser is great! Even though she is a bit too soft at times, and allows his staff to get away with things that they shouldn't, he really is great at his job. He is trying so hard and working so many hours! Alissa has been a bit too much. She keep harping on the whole situation with Camille. Although Camille was not a great stew, Alissa really was disrespectful in her approach. Alissa also knew that Katie and Ross were "enjoying each other's company", yet she continued to find it necessary to blatantly throw herself at Ross and, frankly, she didn't really seem to have a real interest in him! Not cool!

Captain Sandy is the true Professional

Warning: Spoilers
Here we have Fraser upset because he seems deaf to the good advice from Rachel that he's spreading himself too thin since he's too paranoid in his own skills as a manager to trust those who work for him on their own. Not surprising considering Alissa for example was either hired directly by the show or (if not for their demands (much like most of the junior cast)) wouldn't have a job. Instead he shows his terrible management skills by taking it personally instead on constructively. Then again he just plain will never, ever, be a successful people manager. He is incapable of drawing real boundaries and no, there's no crying in firing when you have to do it. He will never be able to hack it.

As for Alissa being disrespectful and getting fired at the end? That was so obviously set up and poorly written that a cheap dime novelist would have been ashamed to have written it! I mean know this is a just soap opera on water and none of these things would ever really happen in a real workplace without the production company really, really stretching things like the sexual misconduct/harassment and the drunkenness at work that would get the yacht owners sued if not for the protection of the fiction of the show, but come on!!!

Don't get me wrong. I'm a fan of the show. But I know most of the "drama" and "conflicts" in it (like most "reality" shows) are set up by the producers either in advance by hiring the right low level people and then getting the on scene "producers" to encourage as much hell raising, mischief, backstabbing, cheating, etc as possible for ratings. But this episode is a bit too obvious.
