Wow. Just wow...

Sure, I had never heard about the 2023 crime drama "Bissonnet" from writers Jeremy Becton, Jeremy George and Denise Mone't prior to sitting down to watch it. I happened to stumble upon the movie by random chance, and opted to give the movie a chance. Sure, I wasn't really harboring much of any grand expectations to the movie, given the vibes I got from the movie's cover/poster. But in all fairness, the movie was given a proper chance.

And I managed to suffer through 36 minutes of pure rubbish. The storyline in "Bissonnet" was amateurish and rather poorly written. The storyline was sluggish and felt like something concocted in a fever dream. I am a bit amazed that three writers could collectively manage to come up with something like this.

Needless to say that I am not familiar with the cast ensemble in the movie. But I didn't enjoy what I witnessed on the screen during the 36 minutes of prolonged suffering that I sat through. The acting performances were every bit as wooden, rigid and amateurish as the skills of the writers.

The cinematography was cluttered and clumsy, and it felt more like amateur night with a home-video camera than it did a proper movie. And that definitely took away from the overall enjoyment of the movie.

Sure, I guess there is an audience out there for a movie such as "Bissonnet", I just happened not to be a part of that audience.

I am not returning to attempt to finish watching director Conrad Craven's 2023 crime drama "Bissonnet". Because suffering through 36 minutes was more than I could handle, and having to sit through nearly two hours of this is just unthinkable.

My rating of "Bissonnet" lands on a one out of ten stars.
