I have to say I was impressed by the effort it took into making this. Both in the writing and acting. The plot centers around the title character named Mary, fleeing from her home world with assassins hot in pursuit. Along the way she bumps into a boy named Jamie and his friends who take her in. Along the way while trying to return her to her home they begin to learn about each other and their respective worlds. I like the two leads, their relationship and the danger they're in is mostly believable. The dialogue is well thought out and said.

It varies from serious to curious and even hilarious. The only gripes I have are the quality of it. It is a student film so I'll give it some leeway. There's a lot of audio clipping and some of the effects are corny yet still creative. While it's well acted I do notice there're times where the actors seem to stumble on their lines occasionally. Also towards the end did the boy go through puberty during shooting?

Those are just nitpicks. Low budget or not, this was enjoyable to watch. If you like sci-fi and female aliens, I highly recommend you check out this adventure from another world.
