All in the family

So begins the fifth season, with the introduction of Dewey Crowe's kin. And the apple doesn't fall far from the tree because they are every bit the swamprat foul-ups you'd expect.

Between their addition and Boyd's meetings with both Detroit and the Canadians (Will Sasso and Dave Foley), this is saddled with plenty of setup. But it's an energetic episode, briskly moving from one into to the next and the dialogue just crackles. And with all of these guest stars, how could the season not open with promise? 8/10

Michael Rapaport

Great ratings so far. Michael Rapaport is ruining it for me though. Over acting... and that accent!! Most ridiculous accent by an actor since the invention of TV.

At the start of season 5 When Boyd stops the cartel truck on the bridge and shoots 2 mobsters And demands Donny out of the back of the truck At the last second he already has blood all over his ear before he got shot And Walton Goggins must have swallowed a dictionary, thesaurus and a bible He's a ripping actor.

Love show hate Michael Rappaports accent

I hated this season when it aired, but Season 6, the baddies suck so bad it makes this look good. I love this show. I love Tim O and the other regulars, but I have to say that their baddies cam make it hard to rewatch. Mags Bennet as a prime example. And Daryl Crow is the king of yucky bad guys. AJ Buckley however, lov3 him no matter what.

Same as other first episodes

Episode is fine. It follows the same pattern as every other first episode in a Justified season-introduce a bunch of people and kill half of them off. I just wanted to comment on the hilarious attempt from Michael Rappaport on a southern accent. Not a bad actor or anything, but he has a pretty notorious New Yorker accent. The show would've been better off rewriting the story to make him a New York character.

Weak episode
palacerevolution200015 July 2019
The peripheral actors overall have been strong so far; except for Michael Gladdis, who was so bad I honestly thought that episode was supposed to be a long joke. Well now Givens is down in Florida to deal with Crowe gang. Led by Michael Rappaport, usually a solid actor, but very much a Northerner. His southern accent sounds so bizarre that it is hard to concentrate on the plot. His sister, who is dealing from a whole other crazy accent, and a "Cuban" who I know I've seen on some cop show complement the cast. Acting is terrible. One thing that bothers me so much in recent films and TV shows: why have these guys smoke? if they are so obviously non smokers, why bother?
