Warning: Spoilers
McGovern back in for the Eagles, along with Kelly. West Coast was competitive last week, hopefully it's not over by quarter-time at the Gabba though. Very easy for Brisbane early, the Eagles yet to register a score. Gunston kicks back to back goals in his return and it's almost over already. Darling gets the Eagles on the board late in the term, after the Lions kicked the first 7, Brisbane up 33 at quarter-time. The scoring dries up in the 2nd, the Lions do still extend the lead to 54 by the half though, with West Coast goalless in the term. Brisbane go on to win by 81 points, in a one-sided affair. The Lions won the hit-outs and were +14 in clearances, with more of the footy and 12 more tackles applied. Brisbane with 33 more inside 50's, for 22 more scoring shots. Ashcroft best afield, with 27 of 28 disposals effective, 7 clearances, 5 inside 50's, 7 tackles and 2 assists. Gunston 20 disposals, 3 contested marks and 6 goals. Neale 32 disposals, 8 clearances, 5 inside 50's, 5 tackles, 472 metres gained and 2 assists. McCluggage 20 disposals, 7 inside 50's, 6 tackles and 2 goals. Andrews 19 disposals, 3 contested marks and 12 intercepts.

3. (Bris) W. Ashcroft, 2. (Bris) J. Gunston, 1. (Bris) L. Neale.
