This movie is kind of a standard mediocre action flick, with somehow unlikely story (albeit base on true events), corny dialogs, clichéd characters, and so on. Yet, if you set your expectations low, it's enjoyable for what it is: an action movie with bad guys, heroic military, and a lonely hero that saves the day. Sounds familiar? Yeah, it's similar to hundreds other movies, but it works.
Acting is - mostly - so so (though I've seen worse), but the two protagonists (the hero and the bad guys' boss) are decent. Cinematography is good, nice views of the sea and the ships.
Funnily enough for a Russian movie, the rhetoric is strikingly similar to many American movies: it's good vs. evil without nuances, the ship crew doesn't give up, the military are bad-asses who will - obviously - win. Who knew that Russians could make popcorn flicks? ;-D
