Streaming television platform Roku and ticketing company Fandango have announced a partnership that will allow theatrical advertisers to measure the effectiveness of their Roku campaigns when it comes to ticket sales.
Through the partnership, Roku will become integrated into Fandango 360, a proprietary marketing insights technology that “helps advertisers strategically connect with millions of moviegoers with the right message, at the right time, maximizing their marketing dollars to drive more movie ticket sales,” the companies affirmed in a joint press release on Thursday.

Streaming hardware and services company Roku has launched a streaming-first advertising technology solution that aims to connect digital ad inventory with demand from buyers.
The platform, called Roku Exchange, “ensures a direct path between premium ad inventory and the leading programmatic ecosystem in the industry to deliver greater effectiveness for our clients,” a company spokesperson said on Wednesday.
“Combining Roku’s premium advertising supply with identity data and AI-driven optimization capabilities, advertisers will be able to maximize the performance of their campaigns, and the process of buying Roku Media and TV streaming ad placements will be accessible to more buyers,” the spokesperson said.

Jo Ann Ross, whose lengthy run as the head of ad sales at CBS represented a breakthrough for a woman in the traditionally male-dominated field, is formally winding down her tenure at Paramount Global.
In September 2022, Ross segued to an advisory role, becoming Chairman of Paramount Advertising as John Halley was elevated to President, overseeing day-to-day ad sales. On Tuesday, Paramount CEO Bob Bakish informed employees in a memo that Ross would officially exit the company next week after “having helped prime our sales team for another strong upfront season.”
Ross had been one of the few division heads from CBS Corp. to remain in charge after the company’s merger with Viacom closed in December 2019. Along with the merger integration, the next two years would present Ross and her industry colleagues with Biblical challenges in coping with Covid, which wiped out sports and production for months, not to mention wining-and-dining.
