Freddie's gotta go
dkstarkey25 March 2024
Warning: Spoilers
The Gentleman is an excellent show. The quality of each episode is comparable to a motion picture. The show is fast paced and a fun adventure. Edward and Susie are perfect counterparts to each other.

But after only 3 episodes, the role of Freddie borders on moronic. Freddie is the addict Amrit older brother who has no self control nor common sense. He ruins everything he touches - and for no reason except brotherly pity, Edward keeps trusting Freddie to follow simple instructions. But he can't. He's an idiot. Eddie undermines his own intelligence by continuing to let Freddie screw something up every episode.

It's already getting old. I'll keep watching for the entertainment value of the rest of the offering of this clever show. But the Freddie incompetence storyline degrades the show's trust with the viewer in my opinion. And employing a similarly ignorant pothead Jimmy who uncovers the secret operations is equally unrealistic.

Weed and Brothers
AvionPrince1620 March 2024
Warning: Spoilers
Still interesting .

The steal of the weed make involved some new threats . And we also witnessed how the brothers will steal a car to erase the debt. It will lead to some problems , comedy( the russian accent), and some revelations about the car ( money hiding inside it ). The part where the woman who sell the car killed someone was not really necessary but it is what it is .

The guy who get stoled get contacted once again by the women at the restaurant : who is she ? What is her real intention?? We dont really know and we clearly need to see more . A nice episode anyway . Still curious about how it will end.

S1.E3 - Jimmy and the Lost Weed [9/10]

Warning: Spoilers
(S1. E3) My Live Reaction / Review for The Gentlemen Season 1 Episode 3 ''Where's My Weed At?''. The previous episode was good and I gave it a rating of 9/10. Let's see if this one is better or worse. I knew this woman was being kind to Jimmy because she wanted something. I feel so bad for Jimmy. Freddy's russian accent is on point. Poor Jimmy really thinks that this woman likes him. Freddy is so dumb, once again he messed up. With each episode Freddy and Eddie become worse criminals. Eddie says that they are not criminals but they are. They kill people, they sell weed, they steal cars and more. I wonder what else does this woman want from Jimmy, she already took his weed. Overall this episode was good and I enjoyed it. My rating is 9/10.

A low point for what has been an enthralling series so far
jaggill_viper18 March 2024
The series started off very well and has a lot of potential. It gave me a lot of hope compared to the drivel that is being shoveled into our faces too often these days. It has style, drama, interesting characters and a compelling story with a few interesting turns. However, this episode does fall flat. It carries on some of the worst elements of the previous episodes with few redeeming moments. It was a slog to get through at times with how cringey some of the scenes were.

Edward bailing his brother out again...without any consequences for him over and over is becoming annoyingly repetitive. Their actions in this episode are more reminiscent of a poor comedy than a enthralling drama/thriller with comedic moments. Logic is thrown out the window and some of the characters' actions are best described as idiotic. The series needs to either tighten up Freddie or get rid of him as he's becoming not just a drag on his brother but the show in general.

There is still more than enough going for the show that I will keep watching and hoping the next few episodes turn this around. Hopefully this was a just a bumpy part of the road and it will smooth itself out next episode. The series itself has a lot of good characters and there are enough ingredients here to make an excellent show. I just hope that the producers can pull out the best aspects of the actors and storylines to bring this season home in the end.
