Fresh off of working on the horror films Swallowed and Consecration, Jena Malone has signed on to star in the supernatural thriller The Movers – and Deadline reports that she’ll be working with a cool supporting cast that includes Terrence Howard (Hustle & Flow), Tom Everett Scott (That Thing You Do!), Grant Feely (Obi Wan), Kellan Rhude (Dexter: New Blood), Natalie Burn (Black Adam), and Christopher Lloyd (Back to the Future).
Written and directed by Giorgio Serafini, The Movers will tell the story of a close-knit family who moves into a seemingly charming neighborhood, only to discover that all is not what it appears. As they face persistent threats, the family begins to question their reality and the world around them. It’s a nightmarish universe of deceiving angels and compassionate demons, lost souls desperately seeking a way out.

James Coyne ("Puncture Wounds," "Vikingdom") has reportedly been brought on as writer on the script for the third film in Guy Ritchie's "Sherlock Holmes" action-adventure series.
At last report "Iron Man 3" screenwriter Drew Pearce was hired to work on a screenplay, whether Coyne is just polishing or starting over is unclear at this time.
Both Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law are expected to reprise their roles of Holmes and Watson. Downey suggested last week that filming could begin later this year, but there's no confirmation of that at this time.

Stars: Dolph Lundgren, Tony Jaa, Ron Perlman, Michael Jai White | Written by | Directed by
Since his role in the blockbusting ensemble piece The Expendables, Dolph Lundgren has been somewhat of a tour-de-force in the world of direct-to-market action flicks. From straight forward action movies like Hard Rush and A Certain Justice, to more fantastical films such Battle of the Damned and Legendary, Lundgren has been tolling away in the genre starring in films that, whilst not all are entirely successful, are ways apart from his pre-Expendables career.
The reason for his recent success, in this reviewers opinion, seems to be his willingness to share the limelight. Where once he may have demanded the mot screen time, a headline on the poster etc., these days his films are more about the ensembles within them. He’s starred alongside the likes of Vinnie Jones, Randy Couture, Cung Le (an underrated action star...

Nick wades into another stack of DVD releases, including 80s action epic Remo: Unarmed And Dangerous, and lots more besides...
"Whatever happened to Fred Ward?" is a line surely on the tip of most people’s tongues. Apparently, the star of Tremors and The Naked Gun 33 1/3: The Final Insult has mostly been doing TV work over the last few years, though you’ll almost certainly remember him as the charismatic star of 1985’s Remo Williams: The Adventure Begins. No? Well, shame on you, because Remo, making a welcome Blu-Ray debut, leads this month’s action-packed, erm, action special.
If you weren’t one of the lucky few that grew up with the preposterous movie otherwise known as Remo: Unarmed And Dangerous punctuating their childhood, we’ll fill you in. Riding on the success of the Rambo films (essentially, the only tenuous link being the vaguely similar name), Bond director...

Stars: Cung Le, Dolph Lundgren, Vinnie Jones, Gianni Capaldi, Briana Evigan, James C. Burns, Robert Lasardo, Sean O’Bryan | Written by James Coyne | Directed by Giorgio Serafini, James Coyne
A Certain Justice, aka Puncture Wounds, is the latest film from the foursome of Giorgio Serafini, Dolph Lundgren, Vinnie Jones and Gianni Capaldi, who previously worked together on Hard Rush (aka Ambushed) and Blood of Redemption. This time round the group is joined by Ufc Fighter-turned action star Cung Le (from the awesome Dragon Eyes) and one of my favourite female stars working in Hollywood today, Briana Evigan.
The film tells the story of soldier John Nguyen, who returns home from a traumatic tour of duty in Iraq struggling with Ptsd. What little peace he had managed to build around him is shattered one fateful day when he rescues a local call girl from a group of violent pimps, killing one and severely injuring the other.

Even if you were to search the whole of American film, you might not find a use of voice-over less successful than appears in Puncture Wounds. Both in text (in James Coyne’s screenplay) and in performance (by lead Cung Le), the voice-over so voids all other qualities that to discuss anything else would be akin to discussing anything at a sweet 16 party other than the ox carcass rotting on the front lawn. You can try all you want, but it just doesn’t take.

At the rate Dolph Lundgren is pumping out direct to market action movies, you get the feeling that a quality script is not his highest priority – after all many of his recent solo efforts have been severely lacking in both story and action, with only Stash House coming anywhere close to being a top-notch action flick. Thankfully Lundgren’s ratio of good to bad movies seems to be in his favour this time out and Hard Rush hits plenty of action-movie targets, even if it does succumb to a lot of genre cliches and stereotypes.
Lundgren stars as DEA Agent Maxwell who is closing in on an international cocaine smuggling operation run out of L.A. by criminal mastermind Vincent Camastra (Jones). When Maxwell sends his lover and fellow DEA agent,...
