Surely another hit for Mammootty in 2024. It's unbelievable that someone at the age of 72 can perform such fight sequences throughout the movie without making any scene boring. Hats off to you, Mammookka. From start to end, the movie is completely dedicated to action. Sometimes, I felt like the action was unnecessarily placed just to maintain the movie's pace. The story is just a cliché, but director Vyshak gives it another dimension. As usual, cliché scenes and twists are part of the movie, which is a bit of a turn-off. The cinematographer, Vishnu Sharma, plays a vital role in making this such an impactful action film with his skills, especially the chase scene in the second half. Cristo Xavier's BGM throughout the movie provides a fresh take on action background scores. Bindu Panikkar's role is the origin of many comedy sequences, but throughout the movie, it was predictable, so there was no thrilling experience. Also, I felt like actor Raj B. Shetty was not used to his actual potential. If you are a mass masala movie lover, hey lads, this movie is for you.

A typical template action film which would have been better if they would have written it better. But this version is also good due to the performances given by the actors. Direction is also good but it couldn't enhance the scenes. The entertainment is still there which gives a good theater experience when you sit with a good crowd. There are few moments which will make you jaw drop especially the car parking scene. The action scenes is excellent when we compare it with other malayam movies but could have been made better. The things that are discussed in the movies are good but still a bit of research could have been done. The cinematography is nice but in some action they could have used static camera instead of the shaky one. Editing is top notch. Overall a good theater experience.

~ ' Turbo ' directed by Vysakh and written by Midhun Manuel Thomas starring the legendary Mammootty , Raj B Shetty , Anjana Jayaprakash and Bindu Panicker is a mass entertainer powered by the brillaint action choreography, Christo Xavier's background score and the man himself Mammukka. As an Mammukka fan myself I enjoyed the film a lot. Lots of whistle worthy moments , humour that worked and an amazing theatre experience. The action sequences were superb with the scores by Christo and Mammukka doing action at age 72 at this level was a joy to watch. Mammukka absolutely stole the show , while I felt Raj B Shetty's character could have been written better , he still does the job. An character I loved other than Turbo Jose was Sunil as Auto Billa and Bindu Panicker as Rosamma , they were simply brillaint and had lot's of comedic gags that were hilarious. Anjana Jayaprakash and Shabareesh Varma done well but an underrated performance would be of Kabir Duhan Singh as Vincent who had an commanding screen presence. The film overall matched my expectations and was a joyful event but I have to say the film's story is a cliché one and it could easily be an average experience for some. The essence of this film lies in it's making and nothing else, also the climax portion was great. If watched in a packed theatre it could improve the film viewing experience.

Don't ever doubt on proven pathbreaking blockbuster creator of Malayalam cinema ; Vysakh is truly strongly back with a Banger !

It has all the elements that reveal it is Kottayam Kunjachan 2's story reworked with a 2004 film Black's flavor. There were two segments of comedy in the film that I really liked, just because the circumstantial placing was really good, one was Jose's first entry and forced exit from the bank, and the other was the revelation of Iron Man's death making Jose's mother cry. I believe, if Marvel gets a tape of it, Bindu Panicker might get hired for the reboot. I don't know whether the last English dialogue she says in the film was from the franchise or not, if it was, it would have been a bit more fun. Other than these, it's just a regular formula of well known and older South Indian action films. It might not even take much effort to do a Pulimurugan and Jose combination film as a sequel. There is ample space for that. However, I do not get why everyone is after sequels and prequels. Maybe, it's because there is an industry report that says doing it brings more profit in filmy business, cause it seems like some actors are giving dates for doing consecutive films for a certain rate. Someone with investigative journalism skills should unravel the reason behind it. I don't think it is necessary to do sequels and prequels to every films that has a median to high success rate. A curious thing that I felt was about the flat that was used in the film, it gave me a familiar feel of the one used in the film Monster, maybe it's because backstory of the leads in both cases were revealed in Kitchen, I don't know. Anyhow, I would have simply preferred seeing Kottayam Kunjachan and his rowdyism, the low-brow kind that was seen in Thuruppugulan. Also, there is only one Jose Ettayi, and that was Biju Menon. So, I don't know whether this justifies. I don't think money is a problem for these super- and mega- stars, but hearing them say that they cannot live without films, and wearing dresses that doesn't match their age makes me worry about their mental make-up and status.

Don't watch this movie if you're sick of clichés. The screenplay for the film is so conventional and immature. Some mass dialogues dedicated to making the scenes more powerful are turned into a line drawn in the water. Prominent performers attempt to deliver humorous lines, but without acting, they lose their impact. For certain scenes, certain performers are superfluous. If the goal of this film was to amuse viewers, then it succeeded. But why should the audience be amused by shady acting and irrelevant background music? This film's plot is incredibly implausible and unfit for a great star. The movie was utterly destroyed by its primary elements, such as the twists at the end. This film might do well at the box office. However, it is not worthy of pretending to be a fine one. Even debut directors can do better than this.

Turbo will offer you entertainment. I repeat only entertainment. The story is not new but its watchable especially the pace escalates in second half & we could see the mass entertainer from Mollywood's senior actor & it was delight to watch.

Mammootty's screen presence and swag is enough to sit for 2.32 hours. Another terrific performance is from Raj B Shetty. What a performance he showcased. A villain which by his swag, his look, his wicked smile, his swag should make a fear & he fits the slot too well.

Another notable performance is from the leading female actors Anjana Jayprakash & Bindu Panicker. Mammootty.

Action sequences was well choregraphed & there we could see the "attahasham "of a 73-year-old man, borrowing a dialogue from the movie "I just love this part"

Overall Turbo is an entertainer. If a viewer tries to find out the story, the movie will be an average flick but just going to an atmos theatre & hearing the punches TURBO will offer the entertainment.

Turbo is the first Malayalam action film of 2024, written by Mithun Manuel Thomas and produced by Mammootty Company, directed by Vysakh. Mammootty's sincerity and dedication to cinema at this age is certainly commendable. Raj B Shetty - (who played the villain role)- you are a cool actor. The role of hero's mother played by Bindu Panicker is also very good. Anjana's performance was above average, but I don't rate it as good performance. This movie will continue even if there is no such sister character. So I don't know why Amina Nijam is there. Whatever it's a miscast and sorry to say she is not good in acting.

Regarding the film it's nothing but a pure fan movie. The first half has some funny elements but there is a lot of lag. The second part of the movie is all about hero's action, fighting, car chase and mass performance. As seen in Tamil or Telugu cinema, the hero is portrayed as someone with extraordinary strength and courage. Many scenes are impossible for anyone in human form to do.

Just think the logic of the action master that the hero who knocks down ten - fifty goondas at the same time gets blown away by the first blow of the villain? Graphics and VFX are too much. The car chases in the road seems bit over. It's a new modern car and the airbag was missing when it hit with a truck. The ending of the film clearly gives an indication that there will be a second part for the movie.

It can be said that this is a movie that will be loved by everyone who loves Mammootty. And it's a good watch for those who love movies more than an actor...

This movie is brilliant. Easily the best malayalam movie of 2024. I can't wait for turbo part 2 in the future. How did mamooty film this action movie at 70+ years. The cinematography and fight sequences throughout the movie are insane. The action scenes are always captivating and the whole overall plot and clifferhanger at the end was interesting. The background music and sound design is some of the best in the malayalam film industry. Vetrival is the new daddy girija, best antagonist. The comedy was really funny and had humorous jokes, it made the movie ten times better. Vsyakh deserves an award for this masterpiece. Mummy beefum.

The movie has a weak script with a lot of senseless dialogues. Mammoot6 action scenes were or shot well. All of his action scenes were done in slow motion,looks like mammooty is not interested in moving too much in the stunt scenes because of his age. This movie is an absolute disaster. Bindu panicker who plays as the mother of mammooty looked funny because Bindu Panicker was much younger than Mammooty. The story line seems to be baseles without any sort of sense. Also there was a varaiation in Mammooty's voice which was very irritating and boring. I was just waiting for the movie to finish because it is the most boring movie.

If you haven't seen this movie in the theater, you are missing out on the biggest theater experience. Try to watch it in a crowded theater with Dolby Atmos This is a so-called template mass action entertainer, rated 100. However, the cliché-breaking aspect here is that the hero is 72-year-old Mammootty! It's an amazing film, especially the second half.

Everything set up in the first half is brought together and ignited in the second half.

Vysakh's direction is mind-blowing. This is his best movie yet.

"Turbo Malayalam" falls flat on every front and the worst from Mammootty Kampany Production. From its uninspired storyline by Midhun Manuel Thomas to its amateurish acting, this film struggles to keep even the most patient audience members engaged.

Maybe I made a mistake in watching this movie after watching Thalavan. Even in the first 10-15 minutes, the template of the movie was reveled. The director and production team should realize that Mammootty despite being the stalwart hero he is, age does defy its terms. When you cast a heroin who is young enough to be his granddaughter, the chemistry just doesn't mathematically equate and the audience wouldn't digest it that easily. Even for that matter the fight scenes where the hero hits and the goons fly like frisbee... what is this? Are we still in the 90s? Mammootty doesn't have to be projected as a superhero anymore. It is like expecting Sachin to bat for two days on a New Zealand test pitch against current bunch of bowlers. Anjana's role resembled much like the one in Pachu. I m glad that they brought in someone like Shetty which is refreshing. And that is the reason why i give 4!!

Super movie with so many twists and super story. Mammotty at extreme level. Liked it very well. Watching a completely good action movie after so many years. Wonderful creation with a Hero and Villain theme. Character Jerry also performed well. We will never expect that the first half will lead to such a thrilling story. Action scenes are really thrilling with amazing sound effects. Specially mammootty's dressings and character behaviour gave a super punch to Action scenes . Villain Character is also amazing with super phycology behaviors. Such Car chasing and Action scenes are really well made.

"Turbo," directed by Vysakh, is an awesome movie that really stands out because of its great direction. While the script does involve some cliches, Vysakh conducts a fantastic job of pulling everything together, making the movie super engaging. The fight scenes are epic and add a lot of excitement.

Raj B Shetty and Mamooka are amazing on screen, totally drawing you into the story with their performances. The duo of Bindu Panicker and Mamooka also bring some good comedy to the film. While Midhun Manuel's script is your average action movie script, Vysakh's brilliance turns it into something special, just like he's done with so many other hits like Pulimurugan, Pokkiri Raja, Seniors and many more.

The background music is incredible and makes every scene even better. Overall, "Turbo" is likely to be a big hit and feels like a cool Tamil. Telugu action movie, which is something you don't see often in Malayalam films. Reminds me of Jailer or Leo but many of the people I've spoken to about this film have said it was better than Jailer and Leo...

Why we watch a movie?

In this contest, this movie delivered the best. I think we need more fight scenes than they delivered.

When you look at the movies of mamuka, we see that all the past movies where highly dramatic, political oriented, but this movie is purely for the fans. So this movie lac the elements which the people expect from an award movie like brahmayugam and puzhuu. So on that context this is a 100 times successful movie.

Mammoka played a very simple person,(reminding us some old movies of him) going to Chennai. Still he is turbo.

Some people say that this movie don't have story compared to most of the top hit movies in India this also delivered story then that is why there is a delay People reviewed that this movie have great fight scenes after the interval, but I wish they would have included more fights....

Turbo Josey is infinitely cute. This movie is a complete masala entertainer to be watched in theatre. It is a well-done production, not wanting in any dimension. Some hilarious moments, quite silly ones, but Mammootty pulls them off, like only he can.

Initially I was curious about the casting, but they kind of settled well into the movie like a glove-fit. Some of stunts are done by Mammootty himself, but they look quite appropriate and natural. Not like a Rajni flick, where law of gravity takes a back seat.

What is interesting that father and son do not resemble each other in any of their movies, in their approach towards the camera.
