A nice journey of Stéphane from Ubud ( the little restaurant, the grilled pork with rice and spices, the market, the baskets for the cooked rice, the luxury hotel, the roofs made with elephant grasses -the woman explains him that these roofs can last for 25 years-) to Uluwatu (the wearing of the sarong for the visit of the temple, the apes living in the temple, the surf spot with Maka and the kecak spectacle-Balinese dances and songs) passing by the burial ceremony (his guide Sunu explaining the burial of a prince, Stéphane wears a sarong, the parade, the cremation tower, the offerings in the coffin and the cremation). Besides we see zooms about the importance of the rice (the rice fields, the irrigation system, the "soubak" ,the harvest celebration and Wayan the painter of the rice fields) and about the life of the village of Amed (the fishermen, John Huxley, the diving coach and the arrival of the tourists).
