Please Mouch Don't Change Your Name!
shelbythuylinh2 February 2024
Warning: Spoilers
I mean come on what would your wife Trudy think if you change your name? She loves you as you are and plus you are Mouch for a reason. You and Christoper Herrmann are the comic relief on the TV show.

Herrmann that has such a very rough time over in that accident last season in being very hard in the hearing on it there. He is urged to see a doctor as he doesn't want to for the fear over in the affecting his job or trying to force him into retirement.

Brett is trying to search for a wedding venue and hopes to find one as her actress is going to leave the series is the storyline.

Meanwhile Cruz wants to transfer and take the LT test after Kelly comes back and bosses him around. Acting like it was nothing at all. As Kelly has a plum job offer from the ATF. Meaning he would have to leave Firehouse 51 and the show.

Cruz in the holding down the fort and went out of his way and Kelly blasts him as that is the "thanks" Cruz gets in return. Wow!

"Call Me McHolland"
allmoviesfan28 January 2024
Warning: Spoilers
The unthinkable is seemingly going to happen. Part of the bedrock foundation of Chicago Fire looks like it is going to crumble into dust and be blown away. That's right. Randal McHolland - better known to all and sundry as Mouch - wants to change his name. Following his rehab, he is back to full strength, a new man with a changed frame of mind. He doesn't want to be called Mouch any longer, that name a combination of Man and Couch. Instead, he insists that everyone calls him McHolland, and us even having that name stitched onto his turn-out jacket. Unsurprisingly, his colleagues are having a hard time adjusting. And so am I!

Brett is planning her wedding, and it's proving to be a stressful event, especially with the wedding mere weeks away. And no venue yet arranged. She enlists Tony's apparently very good contacts to find the "perfect venue" and has Violet planning the bachelorette party. A shoutout to the now-closed Signature Room and Lounge in the Hancock building. Still no Jesse Spencer cameo in this season.

There is conflict between the returned Severide and Cruz, who is used to giving orders at calls after three months in temporary command whilst Severide was working with the ATF. The confrontation and friction might lead Cruz to taking his lieutenant's test.

And, shockingly, Herrmann learns he needs hearing aids.
