A step up from Dragonbored.

After the disappointment that was Dragonbored, I had my expectations lowered for the next short in CA's Uncanny valley: Dragged In. However, not only is this a step up from Dragonbored but it has regained my excitement for the next few shorts as well.

The plot is a guy is taken by the US government to decode a foreign alien language in order to see what they want. Despite the fact that the plot isn't deep or complex and is very silly, it is entertaining because of how silly it is. Dragonbored suffered from the fact that it had a predictable plot and wasn't silly or funny enough to make up for its familiarity. Dragged In doesn't have this problem, as it isn't too predictable and has a goofy enough tone meaning that most of the jokes hit bulls-eyes, due to the fact that this is silly enough to allow that kind of humor.

There isn't much else to discuss with this short, due to how short it is, but just know that this is a funny, entertaining, well acted short that has restored my faith in CA's 5th anniversary. Great fun overall.
