Your way

Warning: Spoilers
I can't help but feel like this is filler-y. Omega and Crosshair flee the Empire from Tantiss with a stolen ship, get stranded on a planet, and then steal another ship to flee the Empire and avoid going back to Tantiss.

This episode ends in the same exact place or maybe could have had has they not taken this detour.

But it also has some great character moments between Omega and Crosshair, so I don't quite feel comfortable calling it total filler. There's some decent relationship/team-building between them here, and. I can't help but feel like that fleshed them both out a bit at least. Filler or not, this episode isn't one that should be skipped.

Good not great.

An emotional one
moritzherz28 February 2024
Warning: Spoilers
Something that all Star Wars animated shows achieved, was creating emotional moments that hit you hard or even had an influence on your life. The Bad Batch had these moments too and this episode is another example for that.

Crosshair and Omega are on the run from the empire and crash on a unknown planet. They have to move quickly, because otherwise the empire will be there in no time. While Omega tries to approach the situation legally and without the usage of violence, Crosshair wants to do it quick and hard. They end up taking the middle path and succeed.

This episode shows the differences of how adults and children try to solve problems. Omega wants to save the hound even if it puts herself and Crosshair in serious danger. Crosshair warns her and if it weren't his weapon skills they would have ended up in custody. The synergy of both ways succeeds in the end, which is a nice message in my opinion.

But the most important part of this episode is the ending, featuring the reunion of the Bad Batch and Omega. The whole scene, the visuals and the music was just perfect and brought me almost to tears.

Now it is interesting to see if Crosshair and the Batch will find together again and more important how Omega reacts to Tech's death.

There is much going on in this show and I cannot await to watch the next episode!

could've been better but it was fine

Warning: Spoilers
So I would rate this episode a 7.5/10, it's a fine episode but nothing too special happens until the end.

Crosshair and Omega crash and try to gather some credits in order to get away from said planet.

While doing so they cross paths with a random imperial officer who knows who they are (knows Hemlock and therefore most likely them too), but he doesn't act upon first meeting them. Instead he kidnaps Badger because he 100% knew that they would come to rescue him?

Fast forward Omega and Crosshair reach the place where they took Badger, they get caught and once again a shootout starts where every single trooper and the officer himself is making a fool of themselves like always. And how do they escape? Right, a perfectly UNGUARDED cargo ship seems to be just waiting for them to escape with, with its doors wide open.. That's probably why the officer lured them to this place first, for the sake of them escaping with a ship.

And then the reunion with Wrecker & Hunter happens... A single cut and they're back together, it happend way too quick with no build up whatsoever. The scene itself was very nicely shot and I'm excited about how they handle Crosshair from now on tho.

Also with that reunion the whole second episode in which Wrecker and Hunter find a grid where they can search for Omega became pretty pointless due to that. Yea, it showed that they never stopped searching but the audience knew they wouldn't.

the right stuff
stanescu-vasile-daniel28 February 2024
My review is about the spirit of what star wars is and will always be: family values above all fiction. And this is one hell of a show to stay connected to that ethos. Well done for the visuals, awesome work on voice acting and thank you for the tears of joy! I only hope the supply of awesomeness will never end, i hate the drought we went through when content was not released and was not having this depth and creativity. In the long run, the content will become what connects generations of fans so it is super important to allow it to add to the already established by filoni's powerhouse kingdom of shows. The format is irrelevant imo, series or something else, it is about the storytelling and how it should never end.

A new favorite starwars moment for me
lucas-sanchez29 February 2024
Warning: Spoilers
I just simply Loved how the creators showed that clones are people with deep emotions. Capable of love, not just obedience. Loyalty and love. We've seen loyalty before, but this display of emotion was something else. Another level. The reunion is coming with more surprises and I can't wait for more. This season is deeper in emotion than its preceding ones. I can only hope this trend continue for the rest of the season.

Based on the trailers and the expected characters to show, this sendoff will be one fore the ages. Loyalty AND love means everything to this family. And this family will do everything to protect each other.

Weird reunion and suspense broken
nijego-1745829 February 2024
Warning: Spoilers
I didn't really dislike the episode but I was rather disappointed by how quickly the four reunited and by how weirdly scripted, anticlimactic and awkward them finally meeting was.

I don't know if I would have liked to see another few episodes of Omega and Crosshair alone and Hunter and Wrecker alone but I feel like they met way too easily after all the buildup from episode one. The dark vibe the earlier episodes created made me feel like it will be very dangerous for Omega and Crosshair to fully escape but they just gambled their way out of it and shot a few troopers. And then the reunion just randomly happens after one dialogue about it and suddenly the Batch is back together.

I really would have loved seeing an episode, maybe even the final episode, where the two Teams are close but still not together and have to fight/find their way together resulting in a finale where they "finally" meet. I'd maybe even shed a tear, who knows

I can't really imagine what the show has left to tell us now. I mean obviously the things we've seen in the trailer but I feel like the old "Empire is hunting them and they barely escape" plot has been milked to death by now. Expecting lots of fillers sadly.

Honestly probably the weakest season 3 episode so far.
jasjkasjkasla29 February 2024
This episode is very similar to episode 2 in the way that it tackles a more mundane part of the story in a mundane way. This episode could've further explored Omega, Crosshair and their dynamic and whilst it did slightly it could've been explore more in my opinion or at least create more intriguing conflicts. I think the issues with this episode sort of show of one of the entire show's main issues which is the fact that it's pretty good at big plotbeats and episodes but struggles with the things in between those. Hopefully this and episode 2 are flukes and the rest of the season is better but judging from the past two seasons I am not entirely sure...

Grumpy uncle and annoying child: the filler episode
jaxxds28 February 2024
Warning: Spoilers
Another filler episode. Great. This time the entire episode can be summed up by Crosshair and Omega crashing on a planet, needing 30,000 credits to get shuttle tickets without chain codes, Omega swindling people in a bar by playing cards and getting the credits needed, an imperial officer that lost to Omega takes Batcher, they go to rescue her, and then meet with Hunter and Wrecker. You can essentially just watch the last few minutes of the episode and miss nothing.

Omega yet again takes center stage, showing off her naivety and overly generous nature as much as possible. Some child street vendor saw who took Batcher but won't tell them who unless they pay 10,000 credits. Crosshair lunges toward the kid and he drops it down to 5,000 and Omega just pays him. How about threatening him with the blaster? I'm sure that'll make the information free. And also, by rescuing Batcher, Crosshair and Omega are caught by the imperials and have to steal an imperial cargo ship, which can be tracked, instead of not rescuing Batcher and just taking the shuttle. This in turn allows Hemlock to know that they were there and to track the ship. Great job Omega, if you didn't go rescue an animal, you and Crosshair would have escaped without leaving a trace and couldn't be tracked. I swear Omega is written just to be annoying and make every situation worse. I can't remember a single time she has actually made things easier for herself or the bad batch. Can we please end the Omega show and actually get to a show about the bad batch?
