In the season premiere of "The Big Bang Theory": With Leonard still away, Sheldon is having nightmares and goes to Penny's to comfort her. Knowing Sheldon, it doesn't seem to work well though...Moving on, Amy and Bernadette are at a conference and go to a bar where they get bought drinks from a couple of guys. An argument ensues when they talk about their significant others. And since Raj can now talk to women, Howard convinces him to go to a social party at the university. I'll stop there and just say that the show is as funny as ever. Everyone was on full cylinders. Seeing Amy and Bernadette without Penny was a hoot! Seeing Penny and Sheldon communicate without Leonard in tow was also hilarious. And seeing Raj now talking to women without alcohol was nice to see although also still very funny. So on that note, "The Hofstadter Insufficiency" was a great start for this season of "The Big Bang Theory"!

This first episode of Season 7 seemed quite weak. Penny and Sheldon's getting together to talk was a real possibility for some good humor. But it proved to be stale. Bernie and Amy at the conference was also weak. Amy's character would not have acted that way. Leonard on the ship also had some real possibilities.

Past here, the series goes stale. I don't know if they changed the writer, but past here it's bad.
