2014’s Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare was a major shift in the Call of Duty series as it was set in a very futuristic setting. At the time of its release, the game was widely hated and didn’t seem to satisfy the fans. Since then, the Call of Duty franchise has drastically changed and 10 years later, many fans are ready to admit that Advanced Warfare received unnecessary hate.
A still from Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare
Recently, there were rumors that Sledgehammer Games is working on a secret project that was believed to be an Advanced Warfare sequel, however, the report has been confirmed to be fake. It’s not like the sequel was never planned as a report surfaced last year that claimed Sledgehammer Games was interested in working on the project, but 2023’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III was the reason why the project was scrapped.

Henry Cavill’s Last 5 Theatrical Releases At The Worldwide Box Office ( Photo Credit – IMDb )
The last couple of years haven’t been good for Henry Cavill as more than positive moments, the actor found himself in the headlines mostly for negative reasons. No doubt, he’s a good performer, but when it comes to displaying his potential at the box office, Cavill has been highly inconsistent and is yet to deliver a major commercial success. Keep reading to know more!
Speaking about the five recent full-fledged theatrical releases, Cavill has tasted failure on three occasions, which obviously not a good track record. Even his recently released, The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare, failed to ignite any fireworks at the worldwide box office and is heading for major losses.

Guy Ritchie has directed everything from low-budget hits like the crime caper "Snatch" to the $1 billion monster hit that was 2019's live-action "Aladdin" remake. But the director has also been behind some pretty big misfires, most notably 2017's "King Arthur: Legend of the Sword." Ritchie has been on a tear lately though, releasing three movies in theaters over the last 13 months. Unfortunately for the filmmaker and all involved, every single one of those movies has disappointed -- if not outright flopped -- at the box office.
This past weekend saw the release of "The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare" in theaters in the U.S. Released by Lionsgate, the World War II film took in just $8.9 million, placing fourth on the charts behind "Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire" ($9.5 million), which was in its fourth weekend. Guy Ritchie’s The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare is now playing in theaters throughout the United States. However, the ensemble action romp, starring Henry Cavill, Alex Pettyfer, Eiza González, Alan Ritchson, Babs Olusanmokun, and Cary Elwes, is currently absent from UK and Canadian theaters. Lionsgate distributes The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare domestically. At the same time, Prime Video inked an eight-figure deal for international rights across Europe, Latin America, Anz, Canada, South Africa, India, and pan-Asian PayTV. So, what’s the deal with The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare’s international availability? Why won’t The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare get a theatrical release in these territories?
According to Yahoo!, The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare won’t screen in UK cinemas. Instead, the film will stream on Prime Video in territories like the United Kingdom and Canada, robbing certain areas of the big screen experience. It’s safe to assume that...

Two highly anticipated films are released this weekend: Radio Silence’s Abigail and Guy Ritchie’s The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare. However, the release pattern for the latter is highly unusual, with Ritchie’s big-budget war epic only getting a theatrical release in the United States, skipping theaters in Canada and the UK in favor of an exclusive run on Prime Video later. As such, it’s not expected to make much of a dent at the weekend box office, with it looking like Abigail will pull off an easy win.
Currently, we’re predicting Abigail will make about $20 million. That’s much less than what Radio Silence pulled off with the Scream films. Remember, though, that this is an original horror title with a twist on classic vampire folklore. So far, the reviews have been mixed, with our man, Mike Conway, loving it, while others have accused it of being a tad goofy.

Alex Garland may have said that he’s not planning to direct again in the foreseeable future, but he is currently directing another film while his movie Civil War heads out into the world and he works on the scripts for the upcoming 28 Years Later trilogy (a follow-up to his Danny Boyle collaboration 28 Days Later). Garland’s new directorial effort is called Warfare, and he’s co-directing it with Ray Mendoza, who served as the military supervisor for Civil War. Garland and Mendoza also wrote the screenplay together. As Warfare moves forward, Deadline has just revealed the names of several cast members: Noah Centineo (The Recruit), Michael Gandolfini (The Many Saints of Newark), Taylor John Smith (Where the Crawdads Sing), Adain Bradley (Wrong Turn), Henrique Zaga (The Stand), and Evan Holtzman (Hidden Figures).

Henry Cavill is one of the most in-demand actors in the industry. The British star has been the face of numerous franchises, such as the Dceu, where he played Superman, or the demon-slaying Geralt of Rivia in The Witcher series. With every role, Cavill has set the bar higher, especially when it comes to embodying the physical aspects of a character.
The Man of Steel actor will be seen in a new avatar quite soon, playing the role of a spy. It is a full circle moment for Cavill since he lost out to Daniel Craig to play a special character almost two decades ago. However, he is set to play the person who inspired the legendary character.

Following his next project, Alex Garland has once again stated that he will stop directing films. More on the story here.
It’s been a couple of years since British filmmaker Alex Garland put out the surprising statement that he was done with directing. The announcement didn’t come to pass immediately: Garland had his latest film, Civil War (catch our review here) to complete but he claimed that after that, he would be stepping away from the director’s chair, citing two key reasons for his plans.
“I’ve got a quite complicated but serious internal dialogue about what I’m going to do next,” the Ex Machina director told Screendaily back in the summer of 2022. “Years ago, I started out as a novelist and then stopped writing novels and started working in film and I have been feeling quite strongly that I should stop directing films and I...

“Annihilation” director Alex Garland won’t be in the director’s chair anytime soon after the release of his upcoming “Civil War.”
In an interview published Sunday with The Guardian, Garland confirmed he plans to step back from the camera after the April 12 release date of his Kirsten Dunst-starring war epic.
“Nothing’s changed. I’m in a very similar state,” he told the outlet, nodding to an interview he gave in 2022 where he indicated he might be refocusing on just screenwriting for the next while. “I’m not planning to direct again in the foreseeable future.”
He later added that he’s fallen out of love with filmmaking, emphasizing, “I do actually love film” still, but “filmmaking doesn’t exist in a vacuum.”
Garland also admitted that the love of filmmaking no longer outweighs the pressure he feels day and night to deliver on his work.
