Simon's life starts to spiral out of control, first he's made redundant, then he lashes out at teenage hooligan Jordan, who's delighted in making his life a misery. The Police are called to the scene, but Simon is confident that he's gotten away with it.
Once again, I find myself absolutely baffled by the negative reviews, I honestly wonder what people expect, blood?
Cracking start, a really strong first episode, gritty, intriguing and thoroughly entertaining, I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Lots of tension, one of those dramas that makes your heart sink, part of you is horrified, part of you is shouting that the little brat got burned after playing with matches.
I'm so glad to see that Channel Five have opted a few different people for the cast, I could watch Jason Watkins in anything, he's a cracking actor, hopefully it won't be long before McDonald and Dodds is back.
8/10.
