It is 1993, and the American mob has reached a low point. Enter the new Bath Avenue crew, who ushers in a violent new day in the life of Cosa Nostra, and the bloodshed gets out of hand.
This time we get the tale of Joseph Calco, former associate with the Bonanno Family's Bath Avenue crew. In 2001, Calco became a government witness and testified against Bonanno consigliere Anthony Spero. Calco then entered the Witness Protection Program under the name "Joseph Milano". (While working in Florida, Calco got into a fight and his true identity became public knowledge.) We also find out about the Bonanno strategy to infiltrate Wall Street: the "pump and dump" scam, where they were artificially inflating stock prices by controlling supply and demand. Very clever, very 21st Century.
And where is the mob now (2015)? Still going, which is why we need another season of this amazing show.
