Rooster Teeth just made it easier for its fans to watch both widely-available and exclusive content. The Austin-based production company has launched a new app for smartphones and tablets, which lets sponsors (fans who pay a subscription fee to get early access to content, among other things) watch programming created only for their entertainment.
Rooster Teeth previously debuted a mobile-friendly app in November 2014. At the time, the app hosted most of the production company’s content from its owned shows and brands like Achievement Hunter and The Slow Mo Guys. However, Rooster Teeth’s initial app came without the ability for sponsors to log in and see exclusive programming, which was still restricted to Rooster Teeth’s site.
The recently-released version of Rooster Teeth’s app is an update to its predecessor. The mobile video platform now allows sponsors to view both classic Rooster Teeth programming and premium content saved for their eyes only.

For those who missed the episode’s TV broadcast, a handful of clips from the program are now available on The Late Late Show’s official YouTube channel.
The episode’s two primary guests were Jenna Mourey (aka Jenna Marbles) and Tyler Oakley, who chatted with Corden about their respective journeys to online fame and their personal favorite videos. They also battled each other in a YouTube quiz that required them to rank videos based on view counts, fill in missing words in comments, and recreate a dance video.
Interspersed between these segments were several others led by YouTube stars. Boyce Avenue and Epic Rap Battles of History delivered live performances, The Slow Mo Guys exploded a watermelon,...

As it did last year, YouTube is using digital displays, TV advertisements, and physical billboards to peddle its biggest stars. As reported by the Wall Street Journal, a campaign that began in April 2014 with ads for Bethany Mota, Michelle Phan, and Rosanna Pansino will return in 2015 with new spots featuring Hannah Hart, Grace Helbig, and Dude Perfect.
As with YouTube's previous creator-focused campaigns, the new ads will run on national TV and will appear in major cities on everything from bus stops to subway cars. The goal is to get consumers to check out some of the most popular and entertaining channels on the world's most popular video site. Hart, who hosts My Drunk Kitchen, and Helbig, who recently came to TV with The Grace Helbig Show, are good friends and frequent collaborators; Dude Perfect, known for its trick shot basketball videos, is among YouTube's most popular sports channels.

The dreams of many Rooster Teeth fans are finally coming true. The Austin-based production studio boasting almost 8 million YouTube subscribers released the trailer for its newest animated series, X-Ray & Vav. Confirmed at Rtx 2014 in Austin, X-Ray & Vav will center around the escapades and antics of the two “superheroes” Gavin Free (of The Slow Mo Guys fame) and Ray Narvaez, Jr. (known for his work with Achievement Hunter). Though the two are ready to fight crime and defend justice, they don’t seem to understand how to get those tasks accomplished. Free claims being British “throws people for a loop” and Narvaez says he’s “a parkour master.” While not much else has been released about the show, fans have long been obsessed over the idea of Free and Narvaez as a superhero-fighting team. Since the two gamers started introducing themselves by the self-assigned nicknames on some of Rooster Teeth’s videos,...

Rovio, the Finnish company behind Angry Birds, has a new video game out, and it will feature an appearance from YouTube's most prominent slow motion aficionados. 8-bit versions of the The Slow Mo Guys will appear in Rovio's Retry, a side-scrolling mobile game now available for iOS and Android. In Retry, players control a small plane, which they must steer onto series of runways. This proves to be a difficult challenge, since the plane's controls are similar to those of Flappy Bird, the popular mobile game known for its extreme difficulty. The similarity to Flappy Bird is no accident; Rovio, which recently laid off 130 of its employees, is looking to find another hit franchise after striking gold with Angry Birds five years ago. As the player steers his plane across Retry's landscape, he will occasionally fly past 8-bit versions of Gavin Free and Daniel Gruchy, who will appears next to...

Earlier this year, YouTube launched a groundbreaking campaign to advertise three of its biggest stars across multiple media. As that project nears the start of its latest American iteration, YouTube is bringing it across the pond, too. In the UK, YouTube will fund advertisements that will promote a trio of popular channels: Zoella, The Slow Mo Guys, and Vice News. More so than the first round of American advertisements (which featured Michelle Phan, Bethany Mota, and Rosanna Pansino), the channels featured in the UK's campaign are a diverse bunch. Zoella (real name Zoe Sugg) is a beauty-focused creator whose impeccable style and bubbly personality have helped her amass more than six million subscribers. The Slow Mo Guys are a pair of thrill seekers (Dan Gruchy and Rooster Teeth's Gavin Free) who have gained 4.3 million subscribers of their own thanks to their high-speed camera skills. Vice News, which was also featured...
