A really FUN Anime!
TJThayer347 August 2022
Balancing out everything just right, "D-Frag" delivers laughs, slight intensity, and moderate menace all-around! The right kind of Anime to relax to & unwind.

I enjoyed watching it in Japanese as it felt more authentic.

The story was sure unique, and the animation is very good! The voice actors (Japanese, of course) fit all their characters perfectly. There was never a dull moment, in this. I've been a fan of Anime since the early 1980's & this one is on my "favorites" list!

Exactly like "Haganai: I Don't Have Many Friends" but still had a few funny scenes to be entertained by!

I managed to get watching this anime on YouTube and it really does have that "Haganai: I Don't Have Many Friends" vibe to it. Pretty much, both animes are pretty similar. However with D-Frag, rather then just having the one boy in it, its added two extra ones. I liked the fact there was pretty good humour on this, Haganai was the same too!

However i do have to say, its not one of the best anime out there but its still good to watch if you wanna kill time and have a good laugh!

Pretty entertaining actually

Warning: Spoilers
D-Frag is about the this guy called Kenji who goes to this school and is forced to join this club by Roka, this club is called the game creation club. A club that makes, creates and plays games.

This cute little girl who looks 11 years old but is actually a second year high school student, well Roka on the surface might be the cutest little girl you would have ever seen because of her cute face and her chibi like design. But trust me she is one clever and sneaky girl when it comes to competition and sneaking around, I am telling you now you do not want to mess with her otherwise she will use her bag at on you. The same thing goes for the other members because they have water, earth and electrical attacks.

The humour is one of the best parts about this anime, it definitely doesn't come off forced or slapstick. The humor is like a good high school humor/teenage humour which can actually make me laugh or cheer me without going too far. Although, at first this show did start off as cringeworthy and annoying but as I kept watching it got better.

My only complaint is the intro as I found it pretty irritating and the over excessive use of inverted colour on dramatic scenes. But the actual art style, animation and character designs for the series were all pretty good.

I watched this anime in dub as thats my usual platform for anime it was pretty sold especially since I got to experience Austin Tindle in lead role for something unlike Prison School which I can actually enjoy. I watched one episode in subbed and that was the OVA, it was okay but some of the voice acting did bother me and came out irritating to listen to also because i spent most of my time reading the subtitles then what was one the screen which is one of the reason why i avoid subbed animes.

Aside from the voice acting statement, it's a pretty good anime if you want to have a good slice of life/school life anime with a bit of fun. I just hope there is a season 2 because if you are going to watch this expect an ending which would end on a cliffhanger.

Fun Ride, Not Amazing Though
mercfma10 July 2015
D-Frag was an enjoyable ride, i definitely liked the show but it wasn't anything to blow you out of your chair, so to speak. It had its moments that gave me a good laugh but for the most part it was just very average for me. Right when the series feels like its possibly finding its footing its over, so that was a little disappointing. The characters do begin to grow on you but not as much as they should. Having watched the English dub only this show reminds me exactly of "Haganai:I Don't Have Many Friends", many of the voice actors were exactly the same from that show in this one with nearly the exact personality type and that really killed it for me as well so that may make me bias(FYI if i had to choose which were better Haganai wins hands down). The character design and artwork are very nice, all the characters stand out and are really cute and appealing. The music used was also decent.

3/5 Why so low? It reminded way way to much of the anime "Haganai", this drained a lot of appeal for me. The show didn't really go anywhere and right when it starts to feel like it may start moving rather then spinning in place its over. Characters are almost all pretty forgettable. Its a fun ride, if you want something to give you good vibes its a good watch but if your looking for something thats gonna stand out in your head long after you watch it look else where.
