Sex & Nudity

  • There is a rather graphic sex scene between a man and a woman on a train, containing partial nudity. She is riding him cowgirl style. This is scene from diagonally behind; she is moaning and thrusting, and you see her bare back and the side of one of her breasts. He wakes up next to her, she is nude (blurred from behind) and it is implied he is also nude. It's possible to skip this scene, but it happens rather abruptly. It occurs just after the woman says, "There's only one bed, are you comfortable sharing?"
  • There is another sex scene between a man and a woman. It shows her from diagonally behind sitting on a table with no pants while he thrusts repeatedly roughly. No nudity. Both of these can be skipped.

Violence & Gore

  • When enemies are shot with standard weapons, a blood cloud can be seen spraying out. If an enemy is shot close to a wall or other surface, blood will splash on it in varying degrees of size.
  • Very early on in the game the player acquires a weapon named the Laserkraftwerk. The intended use for this is to cut holes in fences and boxes. However, it can also be used as a projectile weapon, and enemies explode into blood and gore whenever they are killed by it.
  • Any weapon more powerful than the standard pistol has the power to dismember. The shotgun is incredibly violent to use as it can sever arms, legs, blow chunks of flesh away from the enemies torso, and decapitate them. Mounted machine guns step this up even further, creating massive holes straight through the bodies of your enemies. All of this violence is coupled with very realistic screams of pain and agony.
  • In the later stages of the game, some enemies become more heavily armored, and bullets spark when they are hit. While not completely diminishing the blood and gore, it is slightly lessened to some extent.
  • At various points throughout the game, Nazis are seen being crushed by falling rocks and debris. A realistic crunch and blood splatter follows. While very violent, these moments tend to be more humorous than disturbing.
  • If you are very low on health, the screen becomes bloody until it goes back up.

Profanity

  • Many instances of the f-word, especially early on in the game. Two uses of c*nt, and some milder profanity throughout.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • There is a part where you meet a character who is based off of the famous rock guitarist Jimi Hendrix. He offers you what is implied to be hallucinogenic drugs, but you decline.
  • Multiple characters smoke, keeping in line with the time period in which the game is set.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • There is a graphic torture scene in a flashback of a supporting character and is uneasy to watch.
  • The blood and gore is somewhat realistic, but is so over the top at certain times that it is rendered comedic.

Spoilers

The Parents Guide items below may give away important plot points.

Violence & Gore

  • In the last mission, you stab a Nazi over and over with blood spraying out, and then he explodes with a grenade and nearly killing you.
  • There is a mission that takes place inside a concentration camp. The player is required to sneak into a guard building to shut down the security systems around the camp. While inside, they run into a sadistic guard that tortures his victims by slicing and stabbing them to death. This is shown in graphic detail as you watch him torture an inmate from below. The bodies of his victims litter the basement of the building, and some are shown being burned inside an incinerator.
  • A minor antagonist has her head gruesomely injured by a hacked robot. She then crawls and speaks with you face-to-face, where we see the extremely gruesome and gory aftermath, showing her horrifically disfigured and mangled face, with her mouth horribly mutilated, covered with blood, and even the gums and teeth are shown here while we also see blood and spit drip out of her mouth. This is very graphic and disturbing.
  • The player infiltrates a U-Boat by hiding inside of a torpedo. At this point in the game, you are encouraged to use special shells for the shotgun that hit surfaces and bounce around. These cause massive damage to enemies, with large blood sprays accompanied by dismemberment in some cases.
  • At one point, the player is grabbed by a large Nazi cyborg, who then has the top of his head cut off by a helicopter blade. Large amounts of blood and gore splatter, and the inside of what remains of his head can be seen.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Most of the game keeps a pretty campy/humorous vibe, but the Massacre at the Mental Institution in the beginning of the game and the concentration camp mission are both very dark and disturbing.
