The script holds its ground, only to see the series destroyed by abismal acting overall.
What is meant to be a dramatic historical account series is degraded to a low quality Latin American soap opera due in its large part by terrible acting by a large majority of cast members that have dialogue.
Non-dialogue actors shine in comparison.
Obviously a limited budget for the production and it shows on screen but well tried by the production which managed to save the series with some value there.
