Nice emotional range in a short film
bricesumrall16 March 2015
While ostensibly about vampires and falling real estate values, this movie was centered on a single character named Mary, struggling in her relationships with her father and sister.

I found the performance as Mary, a conflicted young woman seeking her father's approval, unnerving as one follows the complex emotions in which the viewer is allowed to see the dark side of her character, and yet hopeful as you realize her efforts bring them closer together even as they jointly reject her sibling, both physically and emotionally.

Ms. Sebastiani is obviously a gifted young actress who adeptly reveals the complexities often found in familial relationships as they progress through the every day challenges of life in this nicely directed short film.

As viewer I felt her anguish as the horror of falling real estate values unfolds, and the tragic effect it has on her family and neighbors. Her beguiling emotional response unfolds subtly at first but reaches a crescendo as she and her father attempt to protect one another from her vampire sister.

Her facial expressions belie which truth she finds more horrific - the impact falling values have on her father or the rejection of her once beloved sister/vampire.
