Whistle-Stop Tour
owen-watts17 August 2021
Hugh Quarsie narrates this, now quite old fashioned, journey across the pacific. Despite how it's advertised it's not rigidly following one specific turtle - but a hypothetical creature and what it may encounter. Sometimes, footage of a turtle is awkwardly edited into other footage to make it appear that there was one present. However it is a rather a languid doc and the pacific ecology is jaw-dropping at the best of times. The note of melancholy though - in hearing the slim script's dated assertion that the "ocean will right itself" was probably my only major takeaway here.
