The Making of 'Gator Bait (2012)

*** (out of 4)

This 19-minute featurette can be found on the DVD of the 1974 cult favorite 'GATOR BAIT. This extra was cheaply produced just like the feature film but it's fun and gives fans of the movie some nice information on the making of it. Directors Ferd and Beverly Sebastian are just sitting on their porch as they answer a few questions that are written down on a piece of paper and apparently were from fans. The two answer typical questions including what it was like shooting in the swamp, what type of equipment was used and if there were any mishaps works with live snakes and alligators. Ferd also tells a nice story about him walking up to Walt Disney and asking some advice on how to get in the business. Fans of 'GATOR BAIT are going to enjoy hearing these stories as most of them are pretty entertaining. I think even those unfamiliar with the movie would probably enjoy this and especially if they're low-budget filmmakers because there's some nice advice given. Both Ferd and Beverly come across extremely charming as they tell their stories including a scary one about a mother going to take a bath and not knowing there are snakes in the water.
