'Total Crap Show' more like!

Warning: Spoilers
In recent years, I started to become acquainted with the work of Mr. Jerry Sadowitz. My first acquaintance with him was on his Channel 5 chat show 'The People VS Jerry Sadowitz' in which he would bring audience members up on stage to get them to talk about a particular subject. Some of it was undeniably amusing. I then decided to try some of his other stuff but I am sorry to say much of his career has failed to make its mark on me.

'The Total Abuse Show' seems to be the only stand-up show he has done which has been recorded and made commercially available. Quite frankly, it was lame. The whole hour length show consisted of nothing more than half hearted attempts at magician tricks backed up by poor one-liners.

One joke which was in very poor taste had Sadowitz performing what he called 'a tribute to Tommy Cooper' in which he feigned collapsing on stage of a heart attack. It was neither funny nor clever. Tommy Cooper collapsed of a fatal heart attack in front of a live audience on 'Live At Her Majesty's' in 1984.

I did smile though when he remarked: ''What's the difference between Samantha Fox and a bucket of s**t? The bucket!''. But overall the quality of the comedy was well below par.

Jerry Sadowitz still performs live during the Fringe Festival in my hometown of Edinburgh. I have never seen him live and if this show is an example to go by, I don't think I will bother!
