The fire rages across London, whilst the heartless King continues to live and love in style.
I quite enjoyed the first episode, this second part was decent, without being exceptional. It looks half decent, some good costumes, although sometimes it looks like studio. Other scenes like London ablaze as the King travels up river looks awesome.
It gives an insight into how the fire spread, and how claustrophobic the back streets were, but ultimately there's something lacking, maybe it's the side story.
I'm not struck on Jack Huston as the King, a wonderful actor, but just not right somehow. Similarly Daniel Mays as Samuel Pepys, such a fascinating character, maybe it's the way he's written here, a bit dull. The shining light again, is Charles Dance, who's captivating to watch.
