Sex & Nudity

  • Barely a minute into the film, we see a man and woman having sex. They are covered with a bedsheet, but when they are finished the man's rear can be seen as he puts on underwear. The woman's breasts and bare stomach are also visible.
  • Plenty of scenes feature women in revealing clothing, with ample cleavage shown.
  • Very crude sex talk, which is meant semi-jokingly. An example of this: an important character is asked to take photos so that the photographer may masturbate to them later. This sort of dialogue is heard many times.
  • A woman goes behind another's back and starts to do pelvic thrusts.

Violence & Gore

  • A man is tied up and beaten, and is later seen in hospital. His left cheek, eye and forehead have large cuts on them.

Profanity

  • Some British swearing is used, including: bollocks, wank/wanker, fanny, twat. The F word and its variants are used, but only on occasion. Some uses of shit. Plenty of name calling and gestures (the middle finger). Compared to some British gangster films the language is tame.

Spoilers

The Parents Guide items below may give away important plot points.

Sex & Nudity

  • For a few seconds we can see footage of two people having sex, taken from a hidden camera. It is used as blackmail. Nothing too graphic is shown in the video; we can see the bare back of a woman, a man's bare chest, and some thrusting.
  • A failed attempt to seduce is followed by an attempted rape. The two main characters are in skimpy clothing during this, and one stays in her underwear.

Violence & Gore

  • A man has his head held in a filled sink and is beaten, and this is done to obtain information from him. Some of it is offscreen.
  • It is strongly implied that a man kills someone's dog in order to squeeze more cash out of him. Might be a little upsetting for some viewers, though it is not all shown.
  • An old lady, after falling over, has her face grabbed and what appears to be her nose broken. Either way, enough pressure is placed on the area to cause blood to pour. She is screaming during most of this.
  • A main character is punched in the face and then takes a razor across her cheek. There is visible blood. The person who cuts her is the same one that instigates most of the violence in the film.
  • A woman is threatened and slapped across the face twice, by the antagonist. The same person then mocks an autistic relative of hers. To make this scene worse, he is being very unreasonable by extorting more money from them than he is owed.
  • The final twenty minutes are the harshest. A woman is almost raped, and the man that does it is tasered, falls downstairs, is impaled in the back with a ceramic shard, has his head bashed with a door, has a sink dropped onto his head, and is finally stabbed. After this his head has partially caved in, and one of his eye sockets is exposed. Graphic. His resilience during this is almost superhuman. During this same scene he very almost succeeds in strangling the main characters to death.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • The final twenty minutes are violent and intense. It is punctuated by an attempted rape, strangulation, electrocution and more.
