What made you take the role in The Gifted? How was it originally pitched to you?
I was in Toronto doing a directing job and I didn’t really have my head in acting at that point - not because I was stopping, but just because I was in my directing head. It kind of came out of the blue and, obviously because Anna (Paquin, Stephen’s partner) has a...

Parks and Recreation”Greg Pikitis” (Season 2, Episode 7)
There are a lot of great Halloween episodes of “Parks and Recreation” but this one is less about emotions and more about humor and that’s why I love it. In the episode, Leslie spends the entire night trying to take down her nemesis who just happens to be a teenage boy, Greg Pikitis. This horrible young man is known for ritually destroying government property and totally driving Leslie nuts. To where she makes this face:
Not to mention she enlists her boyfriend, the lovable, soft spoken, voice of reason, Dave the cop (played by Louis Ck), to help tail Pikitis all night. Only to return to the Parks office late that night to see it vandalized just as she suspected Pikitis would do. How did he do it when they have tailed him all night? That is the gem at the end of the episode.

"True Blood" is officially over, and we're currently covered in a combination of tears, comfort food, and Eric Northman posters. HBO's long-standing vampire drama went all out for its finale season, by which we mean they killed off half the population of Bon Temps -- including Bill Compton. Despite Sookie Stackhouse's fairy feels, Bill met his maker in the"True Blood" final moments -- but his demise is just the tip of the iceberg.
Ready to take a walk down memory lane and revisit this season's goriest, most fangtastic deaths? Well, we've rounded up every obliteration for you to look back on (with GIFs, of course!), so go ahead and pour one out for our fallen homies.
Name: Tara Thornton Time of Death: Season 7, Episode 1 ("Jesus Gonna Be Here") If Tara's untimely doom seems somewhat familiar, it's probably because she died back in Season 4 and turned into a vampire.

Guillermo del Toro is the kind of filmmaker who leaves me wanting more — just not always in the best way. Whether he's adapting someone else's work with the "Hellboy" films, or inventing his own stories with something like "Pan's Labyrinth," del Toro leaves no hallucinatory stone unturned, no burst of inspiration unexplored. I've often walked out of his movies impressed by the depth and breadth of the creativity on display, yet frustrated at how little time there was to thoroughly explore it all. I wouldn't want to take away the big budgets and fancy effects work that he can apply to something like "Pacific Rim," but I've been itching for a while to see what del Toro might do with an ongoing television series, where he could drill down deep and expand each concept to its fullest, rather than rushing to fit them all into two hours. "The Strain," the...

As Sesame Street delivers its True Blood parody, we revisit its TV spoofs from Sons Of Anarchy to Mad Men and more...
Feature
It's an odd combination: pre-school puppet show meets some of TV's most adult, violent, sex-charged drama, but it's showing no signs of going away. In addition to Sesame Street's clutch of film parodies (if you've not seen it, we can recommend Hunger Games: Catching Fire), the PBS children's show has been spoofing TV's best and brightest for years.
As its latest TV parody - an educational felt version of HBO's True Blood dedicated, as so many of these spoofs are, to the art of rhyming - arrives, let's revisit some of Sesame Street's previous homages, from Birdwalk Empire, to Homelamb, Sons Of Poetry, 30 Rocks and more...

In its first season, HBO's True Blood was one of the best guilty-pleasure shows on TV. Not only did it make for great water-cooler entertainment, but it also helped usher in the vampire-craze wave that eventually culminated in movies like The Twilight Saga taking over the universe, The Vampire Diaries punching up the CW, and Dark Shadows getting a big-screen reboot (albeit a terrible one). There was a time when you couldn't hit the Jersey shore without seeing someone wearing a shirt that said "Fangbanger" on it.

The seventh season trailer for "True Blood" is filled with plenty of blood, sex and fear!It seems that the Hep-v vampires are out in full force and, according to Anna Paquin’s Sookie Stackhouse, they won't stop until they kill every human in Bon Temps."People blame me for what's happened to this town," she says. "I can't take anybody else dying because of me."The ominous trailer -- set to the tune of The Wright Brothers’ "Blood on My Name" -- also offers glimpses of Stephen Moyer’s Bill Compton and Sam Trammell‘s Sam Merlotte, though there’s no sign of Alexander Skarsgard’s Eric Northman, who is set to return. "It looks like the past has caught up with the present," Bill says in the clip. Check it out above. We can't wait to see what happens next! The seventh and final season of "True Blood...
