Warning: Spoilers
Cassius, since the beginning of the series, has been the type of dude very deserving of a side-eye. He has this swag which makes him come off like he thinks he is God's gift to women, and as much as he is called out by Whitney and Robyn he still somehow is part of their life. Then when you add Milan into the equation, it really complicates seeing his character for he doesn't seem redeemable at all. For while you understand people fall out of love, the way he is going about ending his relationship just seems too masked in secrets. Naturally making Milan someone who you feel sympathy for since her (former) man is a dog.

Topic 1: Before the Party – Cassius and Milan

With Cassius and Milan living together, strictly out of convenience it seems, Cassius abuses the fact Milan is there. Meaning when he wants to go out, he just seems to do it because where does Milan go? She is quiet, doesn't seem really interested in dating yet, and probably still has some strand of hope she can repair her marriage. However, even with her mostly being quiet throughout the series, she asserts herself this episode and lets Cassius know she isn't a push over. But, even while doing so she still has that look of sorrow knowing he is moving on from her as she is stuck still trying to figure out her next move. Leading to a pity invite to Robyn and Whitney's party. A move which seemingly no one fully understood, but you can assume Cassius was just giving him and Milan being just friends, and hanging out, a trial run. Of course, without consideration of Milan's feelings since Cassius hasn't a lick of common sense.

Topic 2: The After – Milan and Cassius

After the party we find them both sort of feeling awkward. Milan just kissed another man, Vince, and Cassius pretty much got played by Whitney and may have gotten a bit of Robyn's attention, but couldn't get the amount, or type, of attention he wanted. So just as they went together to the party, they return together. Something that didn't go unnoticed. For while Milan and him lay side-by-side, he decides to go onto Hello Cupid and chat up Whitney who makes no mention of the guy she brought to Robyn's party. Instead, she has a back and forth with Cassius about Milan.

Leading to the episode's end in which Milan, probably getting back her self-confidence and realizing she can do better, asks Cassius to leave. Which I fully support for him sneaking off to chat to some girl online is disrespectful. Especially because he does it in secret. Though, as all this goes down, I'm wondering if Milan and Cassius are separated or fully divorced? It has been awhile since watching the first season, so I'll probably have to double check. Though one thing is for sure: As Milan gets her smile back, I can guarantee you Cassius will not be happy.
