Best short film ever watched!

If You Love Your Children tells the story of Raj Camarta, an engineer working at the company called CPNG – a natural gas and coal based power plant located in Canada, struggles to write and publish a book. Raj Camarta has a great job and a beautiful wife but he is haunted by the loss of innocent people in a natural disaster fueled by climate change. In his desire to get published, he destroys his marriage, loses his home and his livelihood.

The essence of the story is, Raj Camarta (played by Edmonton based actor Steve Dhillon) begins a crusade to educate the world but faces a numbers of challenges in getting published. His wife Jessica (played by Calgary based actress Katy Doucette) is a materialistic person and she doesn't support Raj and thinks that he is wasting his time on such a silly subject of climate change, which is not even real. Jessica become seven more upsets when she comes across a pile of rejection letters from various publishers who has rejected Raj's manuscript. Raj's employer is not supportive either and Raj is getting fired from CPNG on the ground of recession after a communication manager of the CPNG watches Raj on one of the news channels discussing climate change and his upcoming book.

At the end of day, Raj becomes a best seller and epilogue reveals the most beautiful and emotional part of this beautiful short film. Sanjay Patel, director and producer of this film, is an engineer, works in the energy industry and has authored a book titled "the future of oil." Although his first time, Sanjay has done a wonderful job in bringing the beautiful story into life with the use of VFX and computer graphics shots in the film. Overall, very well done, an inspirational and heart touching film on such a controversial topic of climate change. I must say it is a MUST watch film for everyone.

This is a film about climate change - not the nuts and bolts of it - but the struggle we all face to do something to arrest our planet's slide into - well - hell...

IYLYC encourages us to learn more about what is happening in our world and do whatever we can to help.

It has beautifully realised characters, is funny at times and deeply touching.

I watched with some friends and everyone said they felt inspired to do something at the end of the film.

Save the planet - you can't have a better premise than that!

I recently watched this movie in Los Angeles because I had heard a lot of good things about it from my friend. I think the whole message of the movie was amazing and the whole story line was very impressive - anything is possible if you try.

Climate Change is true, it is happening now but unfortunately there are so many of us who want to do something but in the end we don't do anything to lessens the effects of climate change. The Raj's determination to get published and satire portrayal of our society, business and people in general in this movie is quite impressive.

Incredible drama that hardly leaves anyone untouched. I thought this was a really great emotional movie and all the actors did amazing jobs pursuing their roles. If You Love Your Children is not 'just a movie' like you see every other day, it's a great film offering a strong emotional experience. I kept imagining myself in the heart-breaking situations the main character – Raj Camarta - had to go through. He is amazing personality with utmost strength and ability to overcome the unimaginable nightmares to succeed in the life.

In conclusion, this movie is an amazing movie which carries a strong message in it.

Don't miss this movie!

I was so hesitant to see IF YOU LOVE YOUR CHILDREN for one reason – I don't believe in Climate Change. But my friend and I had been hearing incredible reviews about this short film, so we decided to suck it up and see the movie at one of the film festivals and we were just blown away by how amazing the whole story was. The Raj (lead in the film) was just so incredibly heart warming and really reminded you of the important things such as honesty and integrity and doing and believing in what you think is the right thing to do in life. I was so touched by Raj's story, he was so determined, this movie makes you wanna go out and achieve your dreams and to never let anyone tell you what is right and what is wrong, what you can and cannot do.

This movie in every way possible is perfect, it was so brilliantly made and just so inspiring. I heard that IF YOU LOVE YOUR CHILDREN has won more than 10 awards and has been selected at 20 different festivals in less than 3 months time of its release in Aug-2014. I would highly recommend this short film! It was a beautiful film that makes you feel like you can achieve anything you truly put you heart too! PERIOD.

An Excellent Climate Change Short
This is by far one of the best live-action short films I've ever seen in my life. The director of the film is an engineer and a published author and because of that the story has a lot of authenticity and you will love the film. A twist at the end is beautiful and it made me cry! A MUST watch movie.

Whether or not you believe in climate change, you will love the story, emotion and intelligence of the film. The director does a great job presenting the story in a manner that it creates an emotional attachment with the main character of the movie. There are a numbers of documentaries made on this topic (Climate change) but a live action short film on Climate Change is rare and I admire the courage of film maker and everyone involved in this project. More importantly, there is a strong message in this film and that is the global warming is occurring and people are dying because of that and we can't just wait and watch and expect someone else to act.

Lastly, the director finishes the film in such a beautiful way that it will inspire people to take action. I urge you to see this film, you will not regret it.

A MUST watch short film!

I was fortunate to see this movie in a screening. I really enjoyed it, and felt that it lived up to the heartwarming trailer. While the movie has an uplifting "go for your dreams" message, the deepest theme is that of Climate Change crisis.

The story is very touching and was close to home for me. My family has been through some tough times, and this movie just reminded me of how much my parents care and struggle for their children's well-being. The movie is very accurate, but could be painful to watch. I hope a lot of rich people, who think that their luxurious lifestyle has no impact on climate change, go see it.

Best of all, if you are a thinker, this movie will challenge your visions of society, business and how you think in terms of impact of your lifestyle on poor who can't and don't have means to deal with the climate change.

I hope a few of us will let our motivations own us for years instead of hours after the movie's over.

Best Shor Film

Wow this is one of my favorite short films of all time because it tells the interesting story of an engineer named Raj Camarta (played by Steve Dhillon) who tries to become author so he can educate world on climate change. Director Sanjay Patel – he himself is an engineer and author - knows how to execute an inspiring story that deserved to be put on the big screen. Also all the actors give the best performance in the movie and deserve the recognition to bring such a complicated story of climate change into the life. This is a perfect short film for the whole family to watch. I admire entire cast & crew for their brilliant effort. Congratulations to team and I recommend everyone to watch. I watched it at one of the festivals but hopefully it is will be available on DVD later on.
