Real life superheroes inspire the filmmakers!
m-j-chilelli30 May 2017
One of my favorite films, because I got to live it.

I've had the pleasure of knowing Denise (Miss Fit) and Gregg (the director) for many years. I also had the good fortune of working on this film. There have been awards from film festivals including Most Inspirational Documentary from Atlanta's DocuFest!

Accolades are great, but the reason this is one of my favorites is because I know how authentic this story is. I watched Denise and Gregg change over the many years they worked on this movie. I saw them become involved in the real-life superhero world of homeless outreach. And I saw them take what they learned from the superheroes and pay it forward a hundred times over.

The real-life journey of making this film was a real trip, and it's gratifying to see that journey - with all its twists and turns - presented in the form of this truly entertaining documentary.

You'll be pleasantly surprised over and over.

I certainly was.

I still am.

Inspiring

Denise Masino heads out on the road to find people who call themselves Super Heroes. On her journey she meets a number of unique square pegs. Many of these heroes have touching and or heart wrenching personal stories that set them on their missions to make the world a better place. This is a heart-felt story about real people making a difference in the world. Makes you want to get off the couch and do something good!

Real Life Super Heroes!
ted-1572425 September 2017
I was taken aback by the kinds of people and the dedication these "Super-Heroes" featured in this film. It is easy to bitch about what is wrong with life but it takes guts to do something about it. Great story of these people and how they are making a positive imprint on society. I found all of these characters, interesting, inspiring and a little wild!

A super hero movie that matters
vikkibee-2355621 November 2016
A super hero movie that matters? Sure, Superman v. Batman is an epic battle on a galactic scale, but what happens when actual lives are on the line? Adventures of Miss Fit is a documentary that revels in the fact that every act of care, courage and love makes a meaningful impact in matters of the heart. Following the adventures of Miss Fit and all of the colorful super heroes that inspire her to action is a worthwhile journey! It's an eventful journey from curious voyeur to get-off-your- ass-and-do-some-good for the world. Totally fun, funny, and surprisingly touching especially when you look beyond the caped crusading and see what's motivating these real life super heroes.

An Adventure of Justice, Resilance, and Compassion,
jared-5838617 May 2016
A remarkable film of the human spirit, that shows what happens when a group of people (in costumes) come together in the name of Justice and not only fight against the evils of society, but they stand for something that helps move humanity forward and they teach us what a Hero really is. Behind the mask, the gadgets, and the capes are regular people who have decided to make a difference. As Steve Jobs said "Here's to the crazy ones, the misfits, the rebels, the troublemakers, the round pegs in the square holes... the ones who see things differently -- they're not fond of rules... You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them, but the only thing you can't do is ignore them because they change things... they push the human race forward, and while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius, because the ones who are crazy enough to think that they can change the world, are the ones who do." I was truly blow away from this film and I left with something that made me want to continue what I saw..The simple acts of kindness can change a life, and the world.

Just when you thought you knew what a super hero was

OMG! Where to begin!! I was entertained, enlightened, inspired. I cried from laughing and my heart cried from aching. I loved everything from the splatter graphics to the choice of music. The production is absolutely phenomenal. Real people, real situations. Some make you scratch your head, some deserve a key to the city. This docu-drama-comedy (because it's all that and a bag of chips) is worth the time you'd normally spend watching some cheesy, scripted made-for-TV waste of film. If I had more than two thumbs I'd turn them all up.

A Heart Warming Film...

"The Adventures Of Misfit", is a compelling film that takes you inside the lives of the true heroes of our society. This film shows how a group of real live super heroes come together in the name of justice and help fight the evils of the world. They tell the stories of the forgotten and become the voice of the voiceless. A must watch, this remarkable film is truly a live representation of what a Hero really is.

Albert Einstein once said, "The world is not dangerous because of those who do harm but because of those who look at it without doing anything."
