"You owe me money and you're buying new shoes"

Warning: Spoilers
This episode completely fails to make the audience worry about VJ:It takes an age for anyone other than Brax and Nate to bother looking for him and Leah's histrionics just come across as over the top, as if VJ was five rather than fifteen.(It would have been ridiculous with the old VJ; with 20-something Matt Little in the part it's even more so.) The cliffhanger is even more ridiculous, raising the whole thing to the level of farce.Instead, screen time is given over to objectionable pair Josh and Evelyn, who dance around each other a bit before exchanging childish barbs.

Maddy's storyline is potentially interesting but loses points for the inclusion of Andy, literally the last person on the show capable of taking a moral stance, and the pointless cameo by Hannah. There's a nice scene between her and Oscar at the start which could have been built on rather than him being stuck obsessing over his sister's love life.
