It's heating up nicely.

It's the big event, The Halloween Ball is the subject for the penultimate episode, and it's a very good one.

The story hasn't really dragged at all, some episodes have been a little heavy on plot, and a little light of slasher action, but it all seems to have been worth it, as we head towards the climax.

Very nice production values, it looks sumptuous, with terrific costumes and sets, it's very well assembled. I loved the scene where Emma and Ciaran do their Pulp Fiction dance, that looked great, the pair certainly looked the part.

Ciaran, Mr Branson, I am stumped as to who it is, the finger points very definitely at two people, time will tell.

8/10.

A good episode in terms of storyline progression and intrigue. Acting was decent and slasher quality was good.

"Emma Vs Branson, Things Get Complicated"
FelipeCarrillo2 April 2016
(Spoilers)

"Hello, Emma" Seth Branson.

The penultimate installment of the series leaves us full of questions that will be solved in a week, or maybe not...

Pulp Fiction? Ti West? Brandon James? Lakewood? This episode to leagues it was logical that it would be one of the best of the entire series and was it, not within the parameters of the series in general, for opening the doors to the unknowns hidden.

A new way to open the episode this week. Found footage-style a mysterious boy dressed in black enter illegally to steal evidence at the Lakewood Police Department, in addition to finding evidence of the killings made, takes the mask and finally looking into the camera the "Paranormal Activity" style. It is the best opening of all series, something different, something new, it's alright this type experiment into new territories.

There much to explore in this episode. TI West (You're Next) is one of those guys who do everything high, movies, series, documentaries, they want to do, he makes it perfect, and this is no exception. With his unique and sophisticated style takes viewers to has feel the sensations experienced by the characters and exploit your head with the accurate final for the last episode of the season.

Halloween has come and this time it will be to raise funds for victims of the killer. The theme is great, the characters costumes (Pulp Fiction - Dracula) are true black but perfectly used humor. While Seth Branson is imprisoned, Piper and Emma discover a truth that leaves surprised everyone.

Seth and Emma in an interrogation room is one of the definite simple visual best executed at the level of performance of the entire series.

At one end we have a teacher has mysteries and that the coincidences seem to be affecting him lately. Possibly, it will not be the assassin but must have some collectivity with the murderer. We know it very well, because Ti recreates a scene very similar to "The Silence of the Lambs" where inexplicably Seth says the famous phrase of the series. On the other side of the table, we have a stressed girl who has gone through many altercations (including the death of her boyfriend "Will", of most of his friends and peace in your soul) that is determined to find the culprit of not having a fun youth and stealing her heart. Emma feels in front of him, so he wants that somehow confess it. Seth confesses no, Emma surrenders, but there is an evil presence, we smell it.

At the same time but in a different environment, this our duo wonder. Audrey and Noah find a number of photos of Rachel before she died but also found two familiar faces, Nina and Kieran together, this pair had something between hands but they do not reveal it promptly (even so, the fact to see Bella Throne on screen is something amazing, as when we returned to see Ariana Grande in "Scream Queens").

The main focus of this tension not only is on Kieran. When Emma goes to visit the mother of James, she identifies to Seth like her son legitimate but once Piper come to her again with photos, she identified to Kieran as his son, the same guy that Emma was dancing a few seconds ago. Apart from this noisy new, after Piper comes to the dance to tell the new to Emma, the lights are turned off, and Sheriff Hudson is tied to a tree bleeding, then the camera becomes prison, rotates the door and a pool of blood on the floor leads to the open jail cell, which means that Seth escaped , challenging Emma to...

"The Dance" is the perfect prelude to raising the quality of the series in the last episode. I arrive with a load of questions of double meaning, which appear to it is not. Kieran, Seth, Audrey, Brooke, Emma, Sheriff, Piper, Noah, Jake and Maggie have an uncertain future the next on Scream, but I am sure that the end will be outstanding.

Scream: The TV Series (2015) The Dance.

If you have little experience with the slasher genre then this is probably a decent series for you to enjoy.

If you do have experience with slashers then you probably won't enjoy this series because there is very little original material here. Cookie cutter characters who are unbelievably dumb. Jump scares that are ineffective. Cliched male teens with raging hormones. Teacher taking advantage of student. On and on and on.

We did start the review with our normal 8- star rating. Though the lazy writing and plot holes don't help.
