An excellent final episode.
Sleepin_Dragon30 October 2020
After ten episodes we finally get to know the identity of the serial killer.

It's the classic lakeside finale, we get a surprise killer, some shocking revelations, and of course the obvious nod towards a second series.

We have had masses and masses of build up, character development, story, twists, turns, if this episode would have been poor I wouldn't have been happy, but it all fairness it's great, meaning the long build up was well worth it, the ending very satisfying.

Very well acted and well produced. All course the best scene of all was that tantalising moment the mask was lifted.

They nailed it, 9/10.

Pretty good

Honestly a pretty good reveal, even though I had predicted the killer a few episodes ago, I was still surprised by the 'accomplice'. Storyline was nicely wrapped up, fairly good acting, and great slasher action.

So the killer is a tinny teen girl...
nicofreezer3 November 2021
How dissapointed it is, but I was sure the Killer was a woman because of this new anti sexist world.

The problem is, its not logical not real and not probable that a skinny girl did all the killing. I Hope there is gonna be an explanation.

But i guess its a show for girls thats why the final battle scène is with 4 woman.

Why not, for a change, not logical but why not.

A killer FINALLY revealed!!! (Bloody Spoilers Be Here!!!)
jgibbdeuces871 September 2015
Warning: Spoilers
The finale was as bloody and unrelentingly sadistic in true Scream fashion as any Scream fan or newbie could hope for. The twist of a second killer came in to play as I predicted in the message board but it wasn't quite who I originally suspected. Only a great horror script could surprise me and surprise, and delight, it did. The suspense of every scene knowing that the killer could strike at any moment when the main characters are in a vulnerable and/or isolated situation gives just the right amount of chill to catch you holding your breath in either anticipation of the kill or hope for a less than bloody ending for each character. This is the perfect tribute to the legend of Wes Craven and I hope for more to come from a great start to a great TV series loosely based on an already previous iconic horror movie series. I only have two questions(SPOILER BE HERE!)...What's next for Audrey and why did Piper let her live exactly? I can't wait to see the next chapter in this chilling series!

You'll never see it coming!!!!!

Warning: Spoilers
******Spoiler Alert******Spoiler Alert****** What a KILLER FINALE! I love every second, every minute of it, some fantastic chase scenes, blood, deaths, and the revelation. I'm going to honest, I was 100% that Piper were the killer, but I only got there because 1x05, Piper opened the game, but Emma was too innocent to get intrigued. But oh well, that didn't take the good fun of the episode, it was a killer episode :D

So many scenes that remind me of Scream Movies, oh that nostalgia, it's really a good TV show, and now, with that cliffhanger about Audrey could possibly be linked to Piper, we need to wait until 2016, where it was promised more and more death :D <3

Oh my heart, I don't know if he handles ;)

"Big Finally, Discoveries"
FelipeCarrillo2 April 2016
Warning: Spoilers
(Spoilers, obviously)

First of all, this week we received news it devastated to all fans of the world of horror movies and the whole world (including me). Craven, 76, died surrounded by loved ones at his home in Los Angeles, California, was not because of the Ghostface, was caused by a brain cancer, explained the family. "With a deep regret to inform you of the death of Wes Craven", says the text. "We are heartbroken." Without him, this series wouldn't exist and while he had no great impact (in the story) the end of the season is rendered in tribute to the experienced director. Just say, thank you, thank you for bringing our hearts so many beautiful feelings, your projects have already been classics and you'll always be in the heart of the entire audience, you're a person that left mark on this planet. Rest in peace. We follow with your legacy.

And finally, the ellipsis has arrived. In the final fifteen minutes, the killer under the mask has uncovered by herself, do you matched your theories? As the mine not. The half-sister of Emma is exactly Piper Shaw.

As I had mentioned in my previous reviews, MTV's "Scream" had worked hard to get into our head of subliminally that Piper was the killer of Lakewood, OK. With these small negative points, this series was ridiculously addictive, a nice tribute to the original with aspects of culture today, entertaining and strangely frightening.

It is difficult to overstep the expectations of the audience for a finale of season, however personally I was surprised. I have heard that some viewers said it was totally predictable and boring but having the weight of ten episodes over and have to explain in just 45 minutes is a very big challenge, just as Bob and Harvey Weinstein made a surprising work.

It is curious that there was something that struck me more than the revelation of the killer. Probably, Audrey would be the second Ghostface or will be Seth, anyway, my head already is generating theories for the second season.

Why not, Audrey decided to kill his real accomplice (Piper) to generate a friendship more intimate with Emma but continues to killing her group of friends? Possibly the second season does not have relationship with the mother of Emma, since this case is already solved. But the central issue with which opened the series was not resolved, ¿Who posting online the video of Audrey? Soon, she also made a deal with Seth Branson to find the culprit, or the three made a deal. By God, my head go has burst, it creating as many hypotheses.

This episode was the bomb, the best of all, the authentic "Scream". Because it had possessed all that the series needed. One of the aspects worked was that the secondary stories were absent, finally focusing only on Emma and Ghostface. This last chapter it was dedicated to the completion of the game and all the recorded sequences were very enigmatic. Each of the characters had a distressing sequence, Brooke starred in one of the most shocking and hard to see, was the persecution around the house, she trying to escaping of the murderer, and the fridge scene was really fire. Audrey's meeting face to face with the killer accelerated our heart, making us think that "Scream" would possibly fail killing our product more striking for the second season of the way more stupid. Maggie also starred in other scenes more dramatic of the series (remember, the death of Riley), she just like her daughter, killed the love of your life in the way most graphic possible, this death was in the same style of the death of Will, it was extraordinary.

Everyone have to see the first season. It is true that it has been a difficult road, the show has gone through too many misunderstandings but finally manages to find his eloquence and his position on television nights. MTV has added to its catalog one of the best adapted of a classic horror , opting to create a second season. "Scream" has generated a moderate success, so the minds behind the season must get to work to detect which aspects did not work in the first season and give us a second season better than this, but I think it will be impossible. "Scream" worked, we awaits a second season filled with characters who were left alive, new integrations to team, a new story, not paid unknowns and a new killer.

"More, More, More, It's coming this year, "Scream" returns with a killer new season in 2016"

Rewatch and it still caught me by surprise
TeZoKi8 November 2021
Warning: Spoilers
I watched this when it aired, but I couldn't really remember anything beyond the basics, i.e., I couldn't remember who the killer(s) was/were.

This show made every right decision in crafting the reveal. The entire episode, my brain was in full Saw climax mode, with images of every character flashing before my eyes, trying to make sense of it all. I thought I had it all figured out: Kieran and Mr. Branson, 100%. But this whole episode kept making me doubt myself. By the end, I had thought of the possibility of it being almost every singe character...except for Piper. And I didn't feel cheated. I didn't feel like I didn't figure it out because the show randomly decided that it would be Piper, but - after the reveal - I started thinking about it and realized how suspicious of her I would have been if the thought had even occurred to me. But it didn't. Because this show is incredible.

I don't write on IMDb, but I just had to, this time.

Scream SERIES FINALE
ed-davies212 September 2015
Warning: Spoilers
FIRST OF ALL, I WOULD LIKE TO SAY WELL DONE TO MTV FOR SURPRISING EVERYBODY. SCREAM WAS AND HOPEFULLY WILL CONTINUE TO BE A REALLY GREAT SERIES.

The first season of scream is over which saddens me, 10 weeks very well spent however, the Series is addictive in every sense, interesting story, good characters and that beautifully crafted cliché of the slasher genre that scream (the movies) so greatly exploited remains. Although I had my theories, the killer isn't obvious from the get go, and it actually does well to give you doubts all the way to the reveal. Lots of characters have potential right up until the unmasking.

The acting is decent, sometimes it is slightly cheesy but I think it suits the show, don't get me wrong it isn't a cheesefest, it has its serious moments but I think it recognises that there is room for humour in this genre, which is good. That's why scream should appeal to lots of people, who doesn't love horror/comedy?

I think one thing this series actually improved, in comparison to the movies was the killings themselves. They are inventive, and not constant stabbings that usually exist in slasher films/TV shows. Whether it's the method in which people are killed or the context, every murder is executed stylishly (sound like a psycho I know) but it's true, and something else that keeps you interested right up until the end.

Script is good, reflects the movies in some respects, Noah (John Karna) was Randy v2 and a really great character. Your typical horror geek who knows all the mechanics of a serial killer. It's a believable script focused on modern clichés and lots of teenagers will enjoy this show.

I think most of the criticism will come from older audiences, who don't appreciate that the world is advancing, there is nothing wrong with using technology in slasher stories, it makes it even more realistic. This was the problem that scream 4 faced but was actually a great film, and this show may suffer the same way. I hope not however, if you are a fan of any of the scream films, you will like this show.

FINALLY AND I WARN YOU SPOILERS AHEAD.

Season 2 has been confirmed which I'm extremely excited about.

The finale of season 1 revealed SPOILER] that' there are two killers, and it does hint at who may be involved in season 2 so I would like to see how they present the series.

The last thing is the untimely death of Wes craven, a true pinnacle of horror, and the executive producer of the first season. I would like to say that season 2 will be great without him but it isn't that easy. Just gotta trust the peeps at MTV I suppose, I'm sure they will know what he wanted and continue to create a great show.

RIP WES.

Could be better
gamwtomounitsmanas3 September 2015
Warning: Spoilers
In general this series has provided us with some nice death scenes and horror but only a small amount... Never again has anything that can be described as "slasher horror" has had more drama and less casualties... How is it possible that almost the whole group survived in the end. It is a "Scream" series, i expect 2 or 3 survivors max... If i had one suggestion for the producers it would be "less drama MORE HORROR". if i wanted to watch college drama there are many series for that.. make the difference and give the audience the hardcore horror it demands. RIP Wes Craven. The man who knew exactly how to make slasher horror, the right way.

Great show, great finale
giffbirds4 September 2019
Warning: Spoilers
I love the nostalgia that this show entails. This season was done really well and this finale tied things up nicely. The killer was predictable in a kind of process of elimination kind of way, which is fine. There were so many things pointing to different characters except for Piper meaning she was the perfect option. I was completely sure it was her after episode 8. At the same time, someone who doesn't have the kind of mind that I do probably found this completely unexpected. Either way, it felt like is was wrapped up nicely and a perfect homage to the movie series. Well done.

Scream: The TV Series (2015) Revelations.
nebohr12 April 2022
If you have little experience with the slasher genre then this is probably a decent series for you to enjoy.

If you do have experience with slashers then you probably won't enjoy this series because there is very little original material here. Cookie cutter characters who are unbelievably dumb. Jump scares that are ineffective. Cliched male teens with raging hormones. Teacher taking advantage of student. On and on and on.

We did start the review with our normal 8- star rating. Though the lazy writing and plot holes don't help.

The chain is actually going beside the deputy's mouth, not into it.

Brooke doesn't know in which direction her parent's garage door swings.

A freezer will only operate for a short time if it isn't upright.
