maybe, a manifesto
Kirpianuscus13 March 2019
Maybe, a manifesto. Well crafted and that is the lead virtue of it. A man. A form of justice. And the terrible lesson from the punished. All is inspired- from atmosphere to details, from storytelling to the thrill. More than a story, open of an useful perspective about the capital punishment. So, a special horror. For message , for impecable craft, for conclusion.

And Their Nonsense
panagiotis19937 December 2022
Warning: Spoilers
''And they watched'' is a short film that tries hard to be smart and deep and completely fails. The concept is simple. Many innocent people have died by execution for crimes they didn't commit. In this film the spirits of the dead innocent men come back to haunt the guy who cleans the place! Yes he just cleans the place, he is not responsible for their deaths, he wasnt the one who found them to be guilty. One of the dead men tells him that ''he watched'' so based on that logic he is guilty like the ones who gave them the death penalty. This is extremely illogical. If they want to haunt someone go after the people who wrongly executed them not the janitor. While the movie has some nice make up effects and good performances, logic is not found so the whole thing falls apart. I'll give it a 3 for the make up and the performances. If it wasnt for that I would give it 1 for being total nonsense. 3/10.

poignant

Warning: Spoilers
A poignant short film about the capital punishment. Well crafted, impecable make-up , atmosphere and performances. But the best remains its message. And the great moral, the film representing, in essence, a precise manifesto against electric chair death. A custodian cleaning the place of his job. The shadow of an executed man . The revenge. Exposed in great, subtle manner as a family tragedy. Short, admirable.
