Brax and Ash's latest mission to the outback is, as Brax kind of admits, a bit of a waste of time, other than allowing us to touch base with Sam.Brax's roughing him up is actually pretty tame by his standards; Ash's approach is the right one but falls on stony ground.
Ryan continues to hang around and be a bit creepy.John really doesn't do Phoebe any favours with his vague account of their meeting.There's a nice scene between Phoebe and Matt, and we get an idea of what Matt's going to be doing this year.(Yes, he's going to repeat.)
Zac and VJ make their return to town, with Zac not surprisingly taking over as acting principal.It's possible to have a bit of sympathy for VJ but he loses most of it by punching Matt without any real provocation, which just underlines how much they've messed up the character.
