To begin with, I should say that my late mother was a 20+ year worker at the Meridian, MS Peavey plant. And, I've always had good feeling about the company. Yes, they paid low wages. But, it was the going rate for this part of the country. Now on to the episode review. I enjoyed the show until the ending. They took everyone's feedback and talked about making changes to improve things and told certain members that they were going to help them with education expenses and even offered one man better pay so he wouldn't leave for a better paying job. Then the show fast-forwarded 4 months and the plant they went 'undercover' and made all the promises at was closed. The man they talked out of leaving for a better paying job was interviewed and said he had got his termination notice and had lost the opportunity of a better job because of their promises. The producer also noted that Peavey was "in the process" of making good on the cash promised they had made to a few workers. It was 4 months later and the plant was closing. If they hadn't written the people checks by then, it was highly unlikely that they ever did. This completely changed my views and opinions of Peavey's!
