An excellent penultimate episode.

Cassie and Sunny continue on their relentless pursuit of Jimmy's killer, a piece of evidence directs them, but the source isn't reliable.

All of the characters that we were introduced to in the first episode are all seeing their lives spiralling out of control.

The performances are just wonderful, it is so well acted, Ruth Sheen has been tremendous, Tom Courtenay also very good here, not a role I've seen him do before.

Baffled and intrigued, this is excellent, 9/10

Contrition...Sort Of

Lots of interesting developments. A body found buried in Tom Courtenay's garden. His amazing ability to evade any explanation. The former rising star whose past has come to haunt him, shows his true colors. The priest has been living on borrowed time. The mathematical soccer kid wavers between staying with the gang and looking forward after he overhears something devastating and that leads to an intensive search. Gearing up for the finale!

This has been interesting to watch. Trying to figure out what happened to Jimmy is part of the fun. I must say though watching rich snobs crying and claiming to feel guilt for what they have done is a joke!!! None of these people feel guilt for their transgressions...just stop!!!!

This is beginning to annoy me now

Just catching up with season 1 after being so impressed with season 5. This started out well, but this episode has started to go off a bit. For a start, who celebrates their 45th anniversary with a big party? 50th maybe. And the house has a couple of steps to the lower level to get to the garden. Who buys a house like that if they are in a wheelchair? Poor location work. Then the police come to the party, in the dark, with a huge search team to dig up the garden after his wife, who they know has dementia, tells a son that she was hubby bury someone in the garden. Her tells the police and bingo, they are digging. That was just ridiculous. And satellite tv vans outside?

Then we come to the priest. They have evidence he had sex with a 15 year old, and he's not been arrested. The girl /woman who robbed Jimmy has been charged already. Sorry. This has just got very silly.

Edit OK, have watched the final episode now. Tom Cortenay's performance made up for the poor ep 5. But still the priest who made a girl pregnant is on the loose.

I've just started series 2 now.

1. Why is it in films that if anyone is being stalked, or watched, they always are standing in full view of windows with the curtains open when they are doing what they shouldn't be? Just silly And at the end of ep1 s 2 Nicola W has told the retiring DC of the body in the suitcase. She says in the car, she'd know how to hide her feelings. She's a detective too, yes, but she'd know not to leave a watch or anything else identifiable on a body. Silly writing.
