Ignore the crap about Atlantis and just enjoy it.

In the first part of this two-part episode of "The Cousteau Odyssesy", it begins with a lot of crap about Atlantis and finding the lost city. There is almost no evidence such a place ever existed and this really was done to try to hook people into watching the show. Of course, in 2017 we know that no proof of Atlantis has yet been found. The rest of the show consists of the Crew of the Calypso doing an underwater excavation of a site in a bay in Crete...as they're looking for evidence of the Minoan civilization, one that preceded the Greek (Hellenic) civilization.

Part two consists of a bit more of this underwater exploration but much more is a travelogue of sorts showing the land around it and discussing the possible reasons for the passing of the Minoan culture. When they are diving, the water is rather murky and very little sealife is seen--so if you are expecting this to be like most Coustea shows, you'll likely be disappointed. Overall, interesting and worth seeing but one more for history lovers instead of wildlife lovers.
