Great colors, great textures, good backgrounds, charming atmosphere, and quirky interesting characters. The film has it all, right? As an exercise of CGI, Adult'hair is great, as a short film is not. This is so because the story is underdeveloped, and the mojo is missing from a story that could have been good. There is no proper story, it is more a gag. I do love gags if they are good, make a point or just make me laugh. No laugh here. No point here. No goodness. Perhaps it is a short for small children and works at that level. These guys certainly have talent, why waste it this way? They forgot the most important thing in any film: to begin with a great story, and build the CGI visuals around them. You don't even move until you read your story and know it is good. These are good with CGI, no doubt, they need to focus their energy on building their skills as story-tellers.

Like many short animations, the word nice is the perfect definition. because the animation is beautiful and the story is more a pretext. sure, cliches, gags, solutions to a desperate situation. nothing new. but a gendarm and his wife and a small war of hair is reasonable entertainment. so, just nice.
