Round One pits two E-4s against each other, while Round Two sees two 'Dual Branch' competitors.

Round One is the the third round of the competition, which pits an Army veteran against a Navy veteran, both of whom made it to the championship round previously. Their competition is to make 'The Woodsman's Friend' axe. Round Two, the fourth round of the competition, pits an Army E-5 veteran against an Air Force Active Duty E-5, building an M1915 Bolo bayonet.
