One Minute For Eternity
afig-5681727 May 2015
Sometimes it's the message that matters and not the messenger. For John, they both matter. This one minute short pulls the viewer in for a quick glimpse of space time, its perils and its possibilities. I found the narrow focus of the entire film really drawing you into the frightening and exciting moment of surreal realization that there exists alternate and infinite parallel realities. All this while imparting onto the viewer the unbelievable stress of John's final moments of life, at least in this reality. In terms of production quality, I found the films cinematography and acting to be on par with other short, very short, low budget independent films. The score fit well with the script and overall theme of the film as well. In the end I was left with really wanting a few more minutes of insight into John's life and the origins of this imminent pending disaster. But alas, the time constraints of the contest this film was created for did not allow for this. So we are left only to hope that one day this story will be revisited.
